Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
Best flipping pot roast I've ever had. And so stinking easy to make! I accidentally added 2 cups of water to the dry mixes and it was still SOOO flavorful. I loaded the slow cooker with potatoes, carrots, onions and whole cloves of garlic along with the roast and cooked for 10 hours. My whole family, 5 and 3 year old included, loved it. WINNER!

Maple Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
Delicious! The more tart the apples, the better, or it can be overwhelming sweet. Like every one else, I halved the butter and it turned out perfect. Also, about 5 minutes before it's done, I stir the oat mixture in with the apples to moisten it a bit.

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2011
Delicious. It's pretty hard to mess this one up. I didn't have veggie broth or any celery, and it still turned out amazing.

Anna's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2011
Delicious!! The best chocolate chip cookie recipe I've found with a solid cookie taste. Took them to a large church function and they were a hit! I'm not sure why people are getting a cakey texture-they don't have it at all. Don't use semi-sweet chips, use milk chocolate and it's so much better! Also, only use half the salt called for and bake at 325 for about 10 min. for perfection!

Quick Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
Love love love this quiche. Adding flour to the mix combined with the cheese layer on the bottom makes it have a bread- like crust layer which is delicious. Some other reviewers complained about it taking too long to cook, so I cut back on the milk by about a 1/4 cup and cook it for 40 minutes and it comes out perfect.

Ukrainian Red Borscht Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2010
I lived in Russia for a couple of years and this is pretty close to authentic. I've never had borscht with sausage though, only ever with beef. I will probably make it with less tomato paste next time, as it was a little too tomato-y for me. Also, try it with a dollop of mayo instead of sour cream. We ate it that way in Russia all the time and it is delicious.

Blackened Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2010
So so so delicious, easy, and quick! My favorite restaurant makes a blackened chicken breast with melted bleu cheese and this tastes so close. Now I can have it any time I want for a fraction of the price! I beat the chicken breast flat then pan fry it and it cooks in a matter of minutes. But makes sure to turn on a fan or you'll feel like your house has been maced!

Pasta Pomodoro

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2009
Delicious! Used dried basil (didn't have fresh), added spinach and chicken sauteed with the onions and garlic. It was very flavorful. We all agreed this is a keeper recipe and even my 3 year old loved it.

Streusel Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
Excellent recipe! This was a hit at a woman's breakfast I took it to. The streusel topping was amazing, and I have made that by itself a few times, to use in quick cinnamon roles. The icing turned out terrible though, but that could have been my mistake...
