Classic Fried Rice

Reviewed: May 16, 2012
This is outstanding!!! I made it with two eggs and added some pepper, otherwise I followed the recipe. This has ruined me for all other fried rice. I cannot believe how good this was.

Pumpkin Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2011
These things are evil!!! I can feel my pants getting tighter! I used half oil & half butter, because I recently saw on America's Test Kitchens that oil helps to make a chewier brownie. I minimally swirl them, so I get distinct flavors of pumpkin & chocolate. Did I mention these things are evil?! Next time I am going to sprinkle some chocolate chips & nuts on the top. I have to go and eat another one.

Best Spanish Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2011
This was great! I was out of my usual Spanish rice mix, so I found this recipe. My son saw the bowl of rice and was excited that I got rice from our favorite Mexican restaurant.

Hot Cross Buns

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2011
These turned out great! It took a while for the dough to rise, but after I got a pot of water boiling on the stove they really took off! I only had pineapple juice on hand to make the glaze, but it turned out very nicely. Thanks, Delores!

Chocolate Covered Marshmallows

So easy and so good! We rolled some in crushed graham crackers to make them like s'mores. There are so many possibilities with these.

Roast Beef Sandwich Roll

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
I used garlic powder instead of garlic salt. And used chopped giardiniera vegetables in place of the sweet red peppers. It was great.

Chili Dog Casserole II

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2011
I came across this recipe several months ago and couldn't decide whether or not to make it. I couldn't understand why hot dogs rolled up in a tortilla with some chili would be rated so high. Well, I finally made it and it was wonderful!!! I boiled my hot dogs first and heated up the chili in the microwave to speed things up. Also I put a little mustard inside the tortilla before rolling it. I sprinkled some chopped pickles on the top just before serving. I still don't know why this was so good, but it was!! I can't wait to make this with some of my own left over chili.

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2010
OMG!!! These were the bomb! Got rave reviews. Easiest way I found to dip in melted chocolate was to use two forks and set onto wax paper to harden. You can make these for any occasion and add accents (additional colored candy melts drizzled over, candy sprinkles for whatever holiday/event you are celebrating.) Yum!!!

Party Punch IV

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2010
Made this for a "filler" drink at a martini party, just in case anyone didn't like martinis. Well, this entire this was downed and people were turning the punch bowl on it's side trying to get every last drop out. Can't wait to make again!!!

Watermelon Fire and Ice Salsa

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2010
This is awesome!!! I made this for 4th of July. Many people didn't know this was watermelon at first. I had a hard time staying away from it. I had several people ask me about the recipe. I used grated garlic from a glass jar & salt. I think it's important that you make it ahead of time and drain it right before serving.

Butter Brickle Frozen Delight

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2010
This was wonderful. It is very rich, so a small piece is plenty. I shared this with the neighbors and got many complements. I put a layer of fudge in the middle just for personal prefence. Either way would be fine. Thanks for sharing!!
