Usually the turkey burgers I make turn out bland and a bit dry, but these were moist and very flavorful. Because I opted to put in the egg, I also added about a 1/3 cup of oatmeal so they were less sticky and easier to mold. I think this really helped and made for a fantastic burger. I topped them with some mayo, tomato and lettuce on a lightly toasted bun and... mmmmmm.

Banana Cream Pie Made Easy

Every Banana Cream Pie I have made in the past turned out runny. I loved the thick creamy consistency of this pie. I used a traditional pie crust. I assumed the "heavy cream" stated in the recipe meant whipping cream. So easy to make and my family loved it. Oh, and I skipped the whole ice thing too... not sure why that is in the recipe.

California Kabobs

Good basic kabob recipe. The marinade had a nice flavor. I broiled them, and they turned out well. I am sure they would have even been better on the grill. I had some grape tomatoes on hand and added them to the skewer... not a good idea as they got mushy. I'll stick to the basic recipe. It's a keeper.

Fresh Pumpkin Pie

I have made this pie two years in a row. It is a Thanksgiving staple in my house now! I love the honey instead of sugar. I add a 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg. Sometimes I double or triple the recipe and always seem to have filling left over for an extra pie.

The Ultimate Chili

I doubled this chili and served it at a party. My guests loved it and asked for the recipe. I love the extra taste the red wine brings to this chili. Definitely a keeper!

Homemade Tomato Sauce I

This recipe turned out to be a great use for my garden tomatoes. I followed the recipe, but I did puree the sauce after the 2 hour simmer time (as suggested in a previous review - thanks.) I froze the leftovers and it still tastes great after thawing. It was just what I was looking for!

Garden Veggie Pizza Squares

I've been making Veggie Pizza for years, but mine always lacked the "pizazz" of others I have tried. I liked this recipe because the ranch dressing mix added what I had been missing previously. Always a hit at parties and get-togethers!

French Onion Soup V

I'm on a quest to find a match to my favorite French Onion soup which is served at a restaurant in my home town. This came pretty close! I think next time I may simmer it longer and not add as much thyme. Thanks for sharing it!
