Dee's Health Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2006
I have looked for a long time for a whole grain bread recipe that works...this really turned out great. I used no white or bread flour but did add 2tsp of wheat gluten...I really favored this recipe....I recently have fallen in love with another that I got off of my wheat flour bag....but I think this is still very good as I was looking for along while till I found one that actually worked for me and this was it...thanks

This looks and tastes great. I did use fresh herbs but think the dried ones would work just as well....very delicious. Thankyou

Bryan's Spicy Red Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2006
Because I spent alot of time on it, I tried it and it actually tastes pretty darn good. It is really healthy too, but my husband and boys didn't like it - so for the appearance and taking consideration of the flavor I even this out with 3 stars...sorry

Cream Cheese Tart Shells

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2006
I used this recipe for a pumpkin pie crust and could not believe how easy and good it was....this is only my 2nd time making a pie crust...it has always intimidated me but have wanted to find a recipe with out hydroginated oils in it(shortening....so bad for you).I know butter and cream cheese are not really good for us but much better than taking in that hydrogenated stuff...This crust was unbelievably easy and flakey better than any other crust I have had. I did prebake the crust about 15-20 just till golden then added the filling and cooked another 45min and the crust did not burn like other pie crusts have for me in the past...I really can not say enough good things about this recipe....Thankyou!

Brown Family's Favorite Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2006
this pie turned out terrific. I didnt do the strussel topping because my guests dont like nuts....also I didnt separate the eggs because I was really pressed for time....I know I didnt follow the recipe like I should have but it turned out really well and probably will be better when I do as the instructions say.

Whole Wheat Pancakes

Reviewed: May 6, 2005
These were very good wheat pancakes. My mother and husband are really into eating healthy but I am usually leary of baking using whole wheat because I have had so many big disasters where the food tastes discusting....but these really turned out yummy. I was very happily suprised. I could definately replace regular white pancakes with these...very good.

this was very good...I didnt have bread crumbs or toothpicks so I just rolled them put them in a 9x13 pan and baked them in the oven at temp recomended for alittle longer (till juices run clear)they didnt unroll and cheese stayed inside. Very good I didnt even miss the breading at all...served with sauce over rice and noodles

Fettuccini with Mushroom, Ham and Rose Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2005
I almost skipped over this recipe because the name rose sauce made me think of the flour....this is delicious and really very easy. It is a terrific way to make plain old pasta great...made me feel like we went out to eat rather than our plain old dinners. My husband really loves this and we will be making this again. I did cut back alittle on the crushed red pepper flakes...that was the only change I made.
