Apple Crisp V

i wouldn't make the top the same way. I'd suggest cutting the butter into the top stuff, I like a crumb topping, not a sugar layer.

Easy Pork Roast

Reviewed: May 18, 2005
It was kind of dry, and I didn't even cook it the full time. But the outer part of the meat was great. I'd fix it again.

Ann's Shrimp Etouffee

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2006
I added alot of chopped parsley, took out the celery, and thickened it with slurry instead of flour. I also put in garlic salt, red pepper flakes, cayenne, hott sauce, a little cumin, and some onion powder. It was amazing with cornbread.

Real Homemade Tamales

Reviewed: May 31, 2007
i would make double the masa as the amount of meat you have if you want to do that much. but really that recipe makes a TON of tamales. i kept in the seeds to make them hotter.

Churros

Very difficult to cook through without burning, and I made really thin ones. It also called for way too much flour.

Tater Tot Casserole IV

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
This is a very good meal for busy people. I cooked everything on Sunday (browned the meat, put together the soup and veggies) and then just got the bags out of the fridge later and put it all together. It reheats well. My changes:i spiced the meat with dry onion soup, and did a can of green beans and a can of corn. i spiced the whole casserole with hot sauce, cumin, and cayenne.

It looked more bland than it was. I think I'd put some kind of color in it.

Beer Roasted Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2006
It was moist to almost the point of being chewy in parts (i baked it for 2 hours because my mom claimed it wasn't done) if I was to do it again I wouldn't cover it with foil at all was it wasn't so white, and I'd rub it with garlic powder. I put the juice of two limes in the beer can.

The Best Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2006
these were amazing. i served them with pasta, but i probably should have gone with rice. i would definitely make the meatballs smaller next time, just bigger than half a golfball or something, because mine were about golfball size and they fell apart when i cooked them and took too long to brown. i would cut the sauce in half too, because there was a bunch left over.
