Cali's Sinful Creme Brulee

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2006
It was a little grainy and took forever to set up. That was probably my fault though, I was used to making custards which can be eaten warm and solid out of the oven. This was just not one of those. I'm not going to make it again.

My Kid's Favorite Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2006
not very flavorful. I put in the whole bottle of bbq sauce eventually (I made the recipe smaller) but it was still just watery soup around the chop. The meat was very tender, but I ended up dipping it straight in the sauce.

Beer Roasted Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2006
It was moist to almost the point of being chewy in parts (i baked it for 2 hours because my mom claimed it wasn't done) if I was to do it again I wouldn't cover it with foil at all was it wasn't so white, and I'd rub it with garlic powder. I put the juice of two limes in the beer can.

Churros

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2006
Very difficult to cook through without burning, and I made really thin ones. It also called for way too much flour.

Sweet 'n Sour Glazed Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2006
I would make less sauce though. It's so tangy that you can't use too much.

Chi Tan T'ang (Egg Drop Soup)

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2006
I was expecting something different-I always order egg drop soup in the restaurant and I knew this would be a variation, but it tasted awful. It looks disgusting with the soy and all you can taste is white vinegar. I will stick to going to Wong's.

The Best Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2006
these were amazing. i served them with pasta, but i probably should have gone with rice. i would definitely make the meatballs smaller next time, just bigger than half a golfball or something, because mine were about golfball size and they fell apart when i cooked them and took too long to brown. i would cut the sauce in half too, because there was a bunch left over.

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2005
It was kind of hard to pound the chicken and get it rolled. Then, because I bought such big chicken breasts it was too much to eat when they cooked. Still really good though.

Emily's Famous Tiramisu

I would make it with less rum and more coffee. It was too sweet to stomach, I would probably put less sugar.

Extremely moist. The ganache is soooooo goood. Kind of hard to ice because the icing is so thick.
