Lemon Snowflake Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
Excellent cookie recipe. Very few ingredients and a very low cost to make delicious cookies quickly. I used a teaspoon to scoop out the mix, dropped it into the bowl of confectioner's sugar, and rolled it around. It kept the mess off of my hands. I also used a regular lemon cake mix without the pudding and they turned out fine.

Colored Sugar

This worked out very well. The colors were excellent for the sugar cookies we were making and the price is just right! Quick way to make just the color you need for any occassion.

Purple Monstrosity Fruit Smoothie

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
Awesome. We needed to make 6 servings, so instead of changing the ingredients, I added about 1/2 a cup of vanilla and 1 extra banana. Made it really smooth and took the edge off the bite of the oj and blueberries. Good smoothie!

Apple and Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2010
My family absolutely adored this dish. We served it with noodles and spooned the gravy over the noodles. However, I could not find dry cream of mushroom mix, so I added a can of cream of mushroom soup. The taste was sweet, with a hint of tang from the soy sauce. Good low-cal food.

Pasta Shells Florentine

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2010
Too much spinach! There was a good base, and definitely substitute the cottage cheese for low-fat ricotta next time. It has potential, and some of my family liked it, so gave it 3 starts.

Simple Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2010
Not bad, but you can get the same taste using a pre-packaged chili mix with reduced sodium and spend a lot less money on spices.

Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2011
Very easy to mix up, cooked up smelling delicious, looking crisp and beautiful, and tasted fabulous. Got a "good" rating from my 3-yr-old so that is a 5 star. Didn't change a thing except reduced a little salt.

Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2011
I adore this recipe. I leave out the chocolate chips, but follow everything else exactly as it calls for. The cookies are delicious and hearty - exactly what an oatmeal cookie SHOULD be.

Ultimate Double Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2012
excellent recipe! I was looking for something that had a mocha/hot chocolate flavor to it and this had all those elements. I bought a package of peppermint flavored bits that had the consistency and flavor of Andes. I cut the semi-sweet chocolate in half to give a more cake-like consistency, added the peppermint, and followed the rest of the recipe to the letter. These were amazing!

Caramel Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2012
I'm not a big fan of pecan pie, mostly because of the heavy doses of corn syrup involved. To me, they're like eating huge globs of corn syrup with nuts! However, my family loves pecan pie and I needed a compromise. This was it! Replace the corn syrup with caramel and you actually have a delicious treat - in small doses of course. We grow our own pecans, so I used them fresh from the tree. The pie was so good that my family wants another one again real soon. It was the star of the Thanksgiving dessert table. Thanks!
