Grew up an Air Force Brat, so I actually have been all over the United States and even spent a couple years in Japan
My favorite things to cook
I like to bake, and I'm constantly trying to make low fat versions of my favorite foods. Not too successful most of the time I might add
My favorite family cooking traditions
Everyone worked in my household growing up, so I don't really have any family traditions. Dinner was whatever you could find. So now I try to make a point of cooking "home meals" and sitting at the table
My cooking triumphs
I made fudge this year as christmas presents(From recipes found here). EVERYONE raved about how good the fudge was. And since it was a first for me I tried out about 5 different recipes and brought the end product to work so it wouldn't be laying around the house, and I'm now considered a pretty good cook at work
My cooking tragedies
Tried to make an angel food cake, but since I didn't have a large size bundt pan I figured it would be okay. Needless to say it wasn't and I spent too days trying to get the cake out of my oven.

Spicy Vegan Potato Curry
Usually I make a recipe first, then follow others suggestions the next time I make. But this time I read reviews, added some sweet potatoes, spinach, cauliflower, cut the spices in half, then tasted as I went along and ended up added the amount in the recipe. Loved this dish.

Quinoa with Chickpeas and Tomatoes
My new favorite dish!!!Recently became a vegan and having trouble finding variety that fits into lifestyle. Next time will follow some of the other reviewer's tips to try and change it up. Seems very versatile and easily altered while still making a good dish!

Baked Spaghetti Squash with Beef and Veggies
I made a lot of changes to this recipe to make it appealing to my picky eaters(plus wanted to use what was on hand and not run to store). But I think that's what makes it such a great recipe. It is easily changed to suit your taste and turned out great. Since I'm reviewing this recipe, and not my own, I'm giving it 5 stars based on adaptability. I believe I have the finickiest kids and there was no leftovers! I used italian sausage, yellow onion, skipped peppers and used parmesan cheese instaed of chedder at end. Turned out great!
