Perfect Pressure Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2011
so good! based on reviews, i used 1/2 of each packet of italian/ranch dressings, the full gravy packet (i used mushroom) and i also added celery and about 1 cup red wine. i cooked it for 35 minutes, then let the steam out and added carrots for the last 15 minute of cooking. amazing. will definitely make again! so much faster than cooking it in the dutch oven/slow cooker. thanks for sharing the recipe!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
This was really good. I cut the recipe in half and used slightly more Franks Red Hot and slightly less dressing - and I mixed blue cheese and ranch because that sounded good. People ate it up but it did seem to be a tad salty at the end. Thanks for the post - it was fun football food.

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
It was good, but I omitted the lettuce and green peppers. But the main reason I did not rate this 5 stars is that I did not necessarily see the point of mixing cream cheese with the sour cream. More calories, not overwhelmingly more flavor. Good, but not great. Thanks though!

Butter Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
This was a very good cake. I had to make some substitutions because I did not have milk (mixed cream, water and added some sour cream), and I did end up adding an extra tablespoon of butter. All in all, wonderful cake - frosted with chocolate frosting. Yum! Thanks for the post.

Hot and Sour Chinese Eggplant

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2008
Pretty good. I used rice vinegar because I didn't have any red wine vinegar and added some oyster and plum sauce, garlic and fresh ginger to liven it up. I did need to add some water during the pan frying because the eggplant was not softening up, but overall it was really tasty. Next time I will definitely add some green onion and make more! Thanks for the post.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2008
Soooo good. I followed a reviewer's advice and used 2 teaspoons of dough per mini-muffin cup, and froze the pb cups before putting them into the hot cookies. People LOVED them and I would definitely make again. And I actually made more than 40 cookies (about 4 dozen), and the plain baked dough was delicious too! Thanks for the post!

Kicked Up Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2008
This was amazing - the compliment I got was "steakhouse worthy". I did use 1% and 2% milk instead of whole, and I left off the crumb topping and instead put a little extra cheese on top (left off the extra butter and added the red pepper to the mac). Towards the end of the baking, I turned on the broiler to get a nice brown/crispy layer. Had great flavor and will DEFINITELY make again!

Bourbon Whiskey BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2008
Ok I USED to cheat on this sauce, but I never will again. Previously I would start with bottled sauce and add tons of ingredients from this recipe (still awesome), but now having made the whole thing from scratch, I won't go back. I did add some maple syrup for flavor and a tad of sweetness (only a teaspoon or so), cut back on the liquid smoke by half, and I cooked it a bit longer for thickness, but this is simply incredible. Thank you thank you thank you for the post.

Moroccan Lamb with Shiraz Honey Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2008
Amazing. I have been meaning to try this recipe for more than 2 years, and I am so glad I finally did! I had to make my own spice mix (http://www.theepicentre.com/Spices/raselhanout.html) because I couldn't find it in stores, and it turned out well. The lamb was tender and flavorful, and the sauce...oh the sauce...my friend kept saying she wanted to drink it. Delicious! Definitely will be making it again! Thanks for the post!

Quick Gnocchi

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
Yum. I had to refridgerate mine for a few hours because I made them too far in advance, so I'm not sure if they would be fluffier if I hadn't done that, but they were good. Paired with a delicious mushroom cream sauce with parm cheese.

Artichoke and Black Olive Baked Chicken

This was good. I used 3 breasts and added some garlic, sundried tomatoes and seasoning. It would be nice if the broth thickened, but all in all, tasty. thanks for the post!

Almond Rhubarb Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2007
Alright, I thought this recipe was a 3 or 4 (good but not amazing), but everyone told me it was a 5. I used 2 cups rhubarb, 1 cup strawberries (one does not exist without the other, no?), and at least 3x the topping (but only 2 tb butter). Baked it for 40 min in a 9x13 pan and people raved. Who knew? They even asked for the recipe...thanks for the post!

Very good - the edges were the best part with the crunchy carmel. I might add even a little more carmel next time. Thanks for the post!

Coconut Macaroons III

Reviewed: May 28, 2007
First time making macaroons - very yummy! Per other reviewers, we did turn the temp down on one batch, but truthfully I think the original temp is better. Also, did dip some in chocolate, and i definitely prefer the plain ones! Thanks so much for the post!

Maple-Mustard Glazed Pork Chops

Yum! I added some cayenne pepper to the rub to balance the sweetness and only had stone ground mustard for the glaze. I thought the dish turned out great! Thanks for the post! Oh, and the cooking time was perfect - not dry at all!!

Quinoa Tabbouleh

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2007
Really good - my first experience using quinoa. I have to say that I am a novice at cooking it though...needed more time and was still a little wet. however the tabbouleh was good. I used less oil and added some basil for additional flavor. thanks for the post!

Baked Ziti I

Never made baked ziti before, and this was good! It could use a little something though...maybe some red pepper flakes or some balsalmic vinegar to add some zip, but all in all, a keeper! thanks for the post!

Classic Greek Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2007
Really good! I cut back to 1/4 cup oil for the dressing, added a few more squeezes lemon and dashes vinegar, and it came out nice and tangy. The boy said, "keep this for sure"...! Might try adding some banana peppers next time, but all in all, a wonderful salad/dressing.
