Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2013
We were snowed in today and decided we wanted hamburgers but had no hamburger rolls. I found this recipe! I followed step 1 and then added everything to a bread machine and set on the dough setting. Once that was done I followed the rest of the steps. made 6 burger rolls and 6 hot dogs. We will definitely be making these again.

Slow Cooker Italian Chicken Alfredo

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
Great recipe, the only change I made was to heat the final sauce (low fat cream cheese, heart healthy cream of chicken soup, a few ladle scoops of he juices from the cooked chicken, half the mushrooms) seperatley and let everyone choose how much sauce to add. I added the other half of the mushrroms to he chicken in the slow cooker and cooked for about another 20-30 minutes. THe chicken was tasty both with the final sauce and without. Definitely a keeper.

Made this for Christmas breakfast. It was so easy to make the day before and put it in the oven this morning while the kids opened thier gifts. Everyone loved it! I spread the cream cheese as per other reviews. I used 2% milk and 6 eggs, extra apples and I mixed the apples with bread.

My 3 and 6 year old loved this recipe and they are super picky. This has become a monthly staple in our house. After making this a few times I did add some panko bread crumbs to thicken up the sauce.

Decadent Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
Great recipe. I did make changes as other reviewers mentioned. I used 4 whole eggs, no water. I also made my own changes by using1-1/2 cups of AP flour, 1 cup whle wheat flour, 1 cup oats. Also instead of all the sugar I used only 1 cup honey which I wil reduce even further next time. Everyone loved them for breakfast.

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
These pancakes are fantastic. I've been making the original recipe for quite some time but switched it up today. For the flour I used 1c. AP flour, 1/2c. whole wheat flour, 1/2c. oats, applesauce for the oil and lemon juice for the vinegar. Let the batter sit for 15 minutes before cooking, still incredibly yummy. I make extra batches to freeze to have on hand for a quick breakfast. Thanks for a great recipe!!

Quinoa and Black Beans

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2009
Incredibly versatile recipe. I make this recipe all the time. The original recipe is fantastic!! Because I I add diced tomato or salsa to add extra flavor. I also like to add chili powder. I also like to make it at least the night befoore so the flavors have time to elvolve. Just a fantastic recipe!

Baked Pesto Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2009
Wonderful recipe!! Marinated in a homemade pesto made with almonds for about an hour. Followed the recipe except for the tomatoes. I only had cherry tomatoes so I made a warm relish with them and added them as per the recipe. Exteremely quick and tasty recipe. This will become a main staple in our house.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2008
This recipe is fantastic! I mix the 1st 8 ingredients the night before because with 2 little ones I have no time to open the cans in the morning. I add half the mix, then the chicken, then the rest. Cook on low for 10 hours. Shred the chicken before serving. Makes great leftovers or lunch.

I love this recipe as do my kids. The first time I made it with the topping but it didn't go ove well with the kids. The second time I left out the topping and they were just as delicious. I also used regular suger instead. A definite keeper!

Slow Cooker Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2008
It's a nice easy and flexible recipe. I used extra chicken broth as other reviews mentioned. I also made a nice gravy to serve with the pork. I think next time I would play around with the spices. I was also thinking of trying his with chicken breast. It's a great alternative to recipes with the creamed soups.
