Yellow Squash

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2012
Cooked this tonight for a church potluck tomorrow. I had frozen sliced squash rather than fresh, and jumped the gun a little by adding the 3 bags to the pot all at once. Result was so much water cooked out of squash and onions, that they weren't firm at all by the time they were done. Ended up adding extra s&p, soy sauce, and some Slap Ya Mama seasoning. I think they were good, and hope next time they come out a little more firm. I'm sure it was user error this time, as I don't cook squash often. Still good though!

Mongolian Beef and Spring Onions

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2012
First time I've tried to cook this dish. Used flat iron steak rather than flank. Came out tender and delicious. Even my picky kids loved it (but not the onions)! Only downside was it took me a while to pre-cook the beef strips, but the dish was well worth it. Enjoyed every bite. Thanks for sharing.

Crawfish Pistolettes

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2011
My family, and everyone I've shared with has loved this recipe! Also great to use left over crawfish from a boil, and just cut down or out the seasonings in the recipe. Cooking some today for some family.

Flatlander Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2010
I made a big pot of this for a gathering at my daughter's cheerleading school. I did make the changes on the juice and sauce to sauce and diced tomatos because I wanted it a little thicker. Turned out great and everyone enjoyed it. I even doubled the recipe and didn't have any left overs. Thanks for sharing it. Amazing to see 26,000 people have saved this and over 1,000 ratings and STILL 4.5 stars! Fantastic!
