Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2007
Very good!! I added about a tsp of ground ginger and some minced garlic, and I left out the peas, bean sprouts and chow mein noodle because I didn't have any of these on hand...Will definatly make again!!

Gramma's Old Fashioned Chili Mac

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2006
This is pretty good, but like others, I revised the recipe. I added garlic. Didn't have any tomato soup, so I added V8 instead. Also added chili powder & cumin. Let it simmer for awhile and it turned out SO YUMMY!!

Red Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2006
While this does not taste authentic, it is very good. I have no idea where the other reveiwers got that this tasted "italian" unless they used too many herbs and not enough chili powder. I made this to go along with my store bought enchilada sauce that I didn't buy enough of and this was MUCH better than than the stuff in the can!!

Nicoise-Style Tuna Salad With White Beans & Olives

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2006
I didn't do the eggs or the green beans, I just served for a light lunch with crackers and sliced tomatoes. I was good, but too much lemon flavor for my taste. It was also dressed too heavily, so I will make less next time and use less lemon

Tater Tot Bake

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2006
This was really good- my hubby said it tasted like his favorite hamburger from his favorite restaurant. I used cream of mushroom with garlic, added a can of mixed vegetables, a couple of Tbsp Ketchup. Mixed it with the ground beef, and topped with potatoes O'brien that I had pan-fried first(hubby doesn't like tator tots)

Easy Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2006
I am still in the middle of cooking this recipe and it is just awful. My potatoes have been in well over the cooking time and are still not done, and I used the potato peeler to slice my potatoes paper thin!! I had no problem with the milk and flour not mixing, but I did have to add more milk because it was starting to get dry. From my taste tests so far, it doesn't have much flavor, even though I added onion and garlic powder....

Sarge's EZ Pulled Pork BBQ

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2006
This is pretty good. Not as yummy as when its cooked in the smoker, but wonderful. I addded some liquid smoke to the cooking liquid and it helped a lot. Good plain or with BBQ sauce!

Southern Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2006
This recipe is great. I changed a few things- left out the celery and garlic, but added garlic powder and onion powder. I also added some roasted red bell pepper and used regular dill pickles instead of sweet relish. SOOOOO Yummy!

D's Famous Salsa

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2006
I decided to make homemade salsa this morning to go along with our soft tacos we are having for dinner. I added a fresh tomato, for the flavor and because it is all I had, I used some jarred jalepenoes instead of the chilis and lemon juice instead of lime. I have now been "taste testing" for 10 min and I am afraid there won't be enough for dinner!

S.O.P.P.

Reviewed: May 18, 2006
So Yummy. I used a combo of smoked sausage and italian sausage. I added some chopped garlic, seasoning salt, and a little bit of basil and parsley. It was a little greasy, but I found that draining in on some paper towels (the same way I do fried potatoes) soaked up all the excess. I will definatly make again!

Potato Salad I

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2006
I usually prefer my potato salad plain (with just mayo, mustard, & pickles) but I was serving this to company and didn't want it to be bland. I sauteed my onions, bell pepper, and celery because I don't care for the flavor of raw onion. I left out the sweet pickle and added dill pickle...Sprinkled with paprika and walla! instant hit!

Breakfast Casserole III

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2006
Ok, so I made mine a little different. I used bacon, then just cubed my potatoes and fried them in a little bacon grease, without precooking, until they were done. It took about 20 mins, but its still 20 min. faster than precooking them. I added about 2 tbsp. minced garlic to my potatoes and onions. My husband, son and I loved this!

Mexican Lasagna II

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2006
This was pretty good. I did jazz it up a bit. I added half of a chopped onion and about 3 cloves chopped garlic to my ground beef, then added the taco seasoning. I also made a package of lipton's spanish rice and mixed it with the fresh tomatoes, then spread it over my ground beef/bean layers. This was not spicy AT ALL. I am not complaining, as I am cooking for a 20-month old, but I wanted to give people a heads up!

Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2006
This tasted pretty good, but I thought the dried mustard gave it a strange after taste. I also increased the macaroni to 2 1/2 cups and it was still VERY cheesy. I'll make again, but probably without the mustard and with even more macaroni...

Delicious Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2006
This was good and juicy, but didn't really have as much flavor as I thought it would. Might taste better if marinated in the mixture for a little bit before baking. I probably will not try again..

This was so good! I started out with leftover fried chicken from KFC, which I skinned and deboned. I added 1 can cream of mushroom with roasted garlic, some italian seasoning, and some salt and pepper. So yummy!

Salmon Patties I

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2006
These were very good. I was actually searching for a tuna recipe and couldn't find one...so I substituted it for the salmon...I left out the onion, because I didn't think it would cook through enough for my taste, but I did add onion powder, garlic powder, a little ranch dressing, and a splash of lemon juice. I will definatly make again with both tuna and salmon
