Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2011
This is such a good recipe. It's easy, bite sized and delicious (these really do taste deep fried) I doubled the recipe, and got about 35 minis ( filled the mini pans to the top) so my only 'complaint' is that they do not yield the amount stated. Everyone's pan size is different. I used the william sonoma min-muffin pan.

Ultimate Maple Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2007
Luv these! To make them even more special: Make a bowl of maple icing (I make a regular buttercream but add a bit of maple extract and a few tbls of pure maple syrup) then make maple cookie sandwiches by smothering one cookie with icing and toping with another. A decadent fall treat!

Funnel Cakes

YUM! these get rave reviews whenever I make them! I sometimes use a piping bag to pipe batter into oil (a little less messy)

It's Chili by George!!

My favourite chili recipe--just the right balance of everything. Sometimes I substitute ground turkey for ground beef and it is still delicious!

Cinnamon Cookies II

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2007
Yum--made dough exactly as stated, but added my own twist at the end. Roll cookie dough into balls and then roll balls into cinnamon sugar (about 1/3 c of sugar and about a tsp of ground cinnamon) This just makes the cookies look prettier and taste even better! This recipe is a keeper!

Glorified Gingerbread

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2007
This is a nice, moist cake bar. Only change I made: used butter instead of shortening. Next time I make this I would add a 1/2 tsp more ginger and a bit more cinnamon--I like my gingerbread with a very pronounced flavor. I did not find the topping too dry

Naan

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2005
This was delicious bread. I had a little trouble rolling out the naan and consequently the pieces were small--however it tasted very similar to naan from a restaurant. I cooked the bread in a heavy fry pan coated with butter at a med-hi heat. They needed only about a min per side and puffed up nicely!! I will be making these again and again...
