Spicy Vegan Potato Curry

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2011
Very good! I only used 3 potatoes and no onions. I served with plain yogurt, to tame the spice. I added an extra garlic clove as well.

Way too sweet for my taste! However, it was easy and quick. I did not make any changes.

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

Very good! I used one 8 ounce box of portabellas, which I seasoned with basil and oregano. I only added 2 tablespoons of butter at the end.

Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2010
3 1/2 Stars: These fries were pretty good, but came out slighly mushy. I prefer more crispy fries. I sprinkled rosemary on half of them and was very pleased with the results.

Thai Chicken with Basil Stir Fry

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2010
I added broccoli and cashews. Honestly, I thought the sauce was runny and bland--even despite using fresh ingredients. I will not make this recipe again.

Herb Roasted Pork

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
I used half the sugar since most reviews said it was too sweet, and used brown sugar for the extra flavor. Definitely double the glaze. I also used red wine vinegar, although balsamic would be good as well, and sprinkled some cayenne over the meat before baking.

Pork Chops Stuffed with Smoked Gouda and Bacon

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
This recipe was okay. I accidently used Havarti instead of gouda. This may have been the problem. Overall, the recipe was good but I still feel like it lacked a certain something.

Risotto with Tomato, Corn and Basil

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
This was pretty good. I doubled the garlic and didn't put onion (personal preference). My advice would be: DO NOT PANIC at the amount of fluid that goes into this recipe. It should all absorb in the end. Other than that, good recipe-- I will probably make it again.

Orange Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2009
This was really yummy! I made some changes based on the reviews: 2 tablespoons orange juice, 2 teaspoons orange extract, and the zest of one orange. Also, I used dark chocolate instead of semi-sweet- it gave it a more european flavor. Overall, a really good cake!

Chicken Parmigiana

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
This recipe is amazing! A few changes: 1. I used chicken tenders and used a mallet to flatter the meat. 2. I added oregano, basil, rosemary, and garlic salt to the bread crumbs. 3. At this point, I pan fried the breaded chicken quickly, just to make it a little more crispy. 4. After quickly frying, I baked for 20 minutes and then 20 mroe with the sauce. I added fresh basil, garlic, and a dash of cayenne pepper to the sauce to make it more flavorful. 5. I did not measure the cheese but instead put enough to cover the top

Spicy Indian Chicken Curry Yummy

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
Yummy! I added peas to this dish and used chicken tendors instead of breasts! This is a really easy recipe, especially if you work. Next time, I think I will make it a little more spicy.

I sliced the potatos and then covered them with the butter, marshmallow, and sugar. I used only 1 cup of everything. Still really yummy but much healthier!

Layered Chicken and Black Bean Enchilada Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2008
I'm not crazy about this recipe. I used leftover turkey instead of chicken which may be part of the reason. I would definetely use chicken if I made it again. Overall, this recipe is ok- nothing too special and not that easy considering you need to shred the chicken.

Chocolate Hazelnut Fruit Crepes

This reminded me of my trip to France a couple of years ago. Yum! I added a little cinnamon and vanilla to the crepe batter. Other than that, no changes!
