Very good recipe. I made a few alterations to the recipe. I omitted the carrots and celery because I did not have them on hand. I also used a red potato with the skin to give some color, fresh garlic rather than powder, and added cayenne pepper for some kick. I used low fat evaporated milk and low fat shredded cheese. Finally, I added some crumbled turkey bacon at the end. It was very good and my husband commented that it looked like a professional soup! Very easy weekday meal. To amend my previous review, the second time I made this, I found the canned salmon to be way too "fishy" smelling, turning off both me and my husband. I think fresh salmon is probably a must.
