Broiled Short Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2015
I love short ribs and I like them pretty simple without a bunch of sauce so this was perfect. I put them in the crock pot on low with beef broth and garlic for 4 1/2 hrs. I didn't use much of the sauce because I love the flavor of the ribs themselves. I broiled for about 5-7 min to crisp up. Delish!!!

We loved it! I too didn't have the cereal so I used panko, breadcrumbs and crumbled ritz crackers. I used legs and thighs and cooked for 1 hr! Yum!

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2014
Loved it!!!!! I read the reviews & made the following adjustments... I egg washed the chicken after I secured them with toothpicks and breaded the entire roll. I placed a pat of butter on top of each before baking. Then... As the video suggested ... I put a cup of white wine in the baking dish before putting in the oven . Before serving I dished some wine on each. I think the wine gave it an amazing flavor. As a side dipping sauce I also made the can of cream of chicken soup, 1/2 cup sour cream & lemon. I used at least 2 tbsp of lemon. You definitely don't need much of the dipping sauce. A really great dish... Into the rotation it goes!!

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Delish!!!! Marinated for 24 hours and grilled 9 minutes on each side (probably could have done 8 on each side). Had plenty of sauce left for dipping. Would definitely make again.

Crustless Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2014
Loved it! Switched it up with what I had on hand. Used broccoli & cheddar cheese. Also added red & yellow peppers to the onion sauté!!! Yummy!!!! UPDATE! 11/1/14 I'm trying to watch my weight but wanted this because it was so good. Lowered the calories this way….Again I used red and yellow peppers along with the onions and sautéed them with cooking spray rather than the oil. Used 2 cps of cheese (I use cheddar) instead of 3. Used 2 eggs and 6 egg whites. I also used cooked broccoli instead of spinach. I used a glass pyrex pie plate and cooked it for 40 min. Delish… sweet and savory!!!

Quiche Lorraine I

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2014
Great recipe!!! Everyone raved about it. I used the fattening heavy cream (lol) and I think that is why mine came out perfectly cooked. Other's had mention theirs was runny… mine was not. I also sautéed onions and garlic in the bacon fat. Additionally… steamed some fresh spinach… squeezed it dry and added just before adding the cheese. Definitely a bit fattening but great for a splurge!!!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2013
Im not a "chili" person but I had a request for it. I followed the recipe exactly (except for spicy, spicy stuff )& everyone raved about it!!! I enjoyed it as well... with added cheddar melted on top. I left out the green chili peppers because I didn't want it too hot & it was just right with just the right bite!!

Tuna Noodle Casserole from Scratch

Really good!! The family loved it!! After I read the reviews that some said it was lacking flavor I decided to add chicken broth along with the milk, old bay seasoning and extra garlic! Very versatile and can be switched up!

Chef John's Caramel Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2013
Really great!!! Followed the recipe and watched the video which was very helpful. The only changes I made were.....made more sauce because I steamed red/green pepper and broccoli in separate pot and added to the mix at the end. Didn't use jalapeno but sprinkled in red pepper flakes for a little heat. Served over basmati rice. I think the next time I will add a little corn starch to the remaining sauce so it thickens a bit more. Great recipe!!!

Shrimp and Asparagus

Reviewed: May 12, 2013
I also halved the butter as others did. I used whole wheat linguine and sautéed the asparagus in olive oil and garlic . Used more parm cheese (personal preference ... but it also thickened the sauce. ) Will be putting into rotation because everyone loved it!!!
