Liver Dumplings

My husband liked this recipe. I made the mixture, and half I boiled and then fried, and the other half I just made into the little patties and simply shallow fried. The simply fried ones were better. I added cayenne pepper to the recipe. I will make this again, it was so easy.

Beetroot Hummus

This hummus was on the sweet side due to the beet. I pressure cooked the beet and the soaked chickpeas together for 14 minutes, then blended with the other ingredients. This needs assertive spicing to offset the beet flavor and sweetness. This made alot of hummus even though I halved the chickpeas and beet quanities and nearly doubled the spices. This recipe is a very creative and fun way to serve hummus.

Creamy Celery Casserole

This was very good. I made a vegan version of this recipe. I cooked the celery until it was soft and I substituted oil for the butter, 1c soy milk for the milk, 3/4c nutrtional yeast for the cheese, and some finely chopped rice idilis for the bread. Next time I will use 1/2 c nutritional yeast and 1/2c water instead of the cheese (as mine was a little too thick). This recipe turned out creamy and satisfying. It was very good.

Black Olive Spread

I used vegan "parmesan cheese" and added a little salt and vinegar, and perhaps too much extra oil. This is so yummy! It really needs a small garnishing sprig and a sprinkle of paprika or something to offset the olive color and its tendency to seperate from the oil. This is a wonderful dip.
