About this Cook
I am a stay at home mum of 4 children - all under 5 (had number 4 Feb. '08). I love to cook and do so daily, philosophy is - If you have to eat, eat well! My husband is a very happy man and my older 3 kids love to cook too.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts, sweets, Roast Lamb, Italian and Mexican. I would love to learn how to cook great Indian
My favorite family cooking traditions
Don't have any, my mother abandonded me ans siblings at hte age of 10, have been cooking ever since.
My cooking triumphs
A baked NY cheesecake, never thought I could do it and thought it would be really difficult. It was easy and tasted great.
My cooking tragedies
A gluten free pizza base, I cried and then threw it in the bin. Over an hour and expensive ingredients wasted!!

Honey Curried Roasted Chicken and Vegetables
Nice, not fabulous though. My potatoes never got crisp. Nothing wrong with the recipe - just not what I imagined.

American Lasagna
loved it!! I used no pre cooking lasagne sheets, bought creamed cottage cheese by accident and left out the garlic (I am nursing a baby who can't tolerate garlic - it is tragic!)thanx

Glorified Rice
My mum used to maek something very similar to this, minus the rice. I would add shredded coconut. Do not make this more than a few hours before eating. It does not store well, infact goes quite dry. Great with ice-cream. Sliced bananas and mango peices mixed help togive this an extra boost.
