Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
Loved it!! This was my first apple pie and I made this Dec 2 for an early family Christmas. It was devoured! *Followed others advice and added cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla to the syrup. I also tossed the apples in some of the syrup before adding to the crust and saved some to brush on top of the crust. *Some people have mentioned using less apples. My grocery store sells "kid-sized", medium and large granny smith apples. Use your best judgement, small apples you'll probably need 8 or more, average apples 6-8, large 5-6. I used 6 large apples and it was nicely mounded in the pie although after it cooled it deflated and the crust was hovering over the apples. No problem, I just pushed the crust down too! LOL *I will be making this pie again tomorrow for another family Christmas and anytime I make apple pie from now on!

Cola Pot Roast II
I used a 3# chuck roast that I coated with flour, montreal steak seasoning and garlic powder and then browned in a pan with olive oil on both sides. I didn't have any brown gravy mix or celeery so I just used the full 12 oz of coke, can of mushroom soup and onion soup packet. I added carrots and mushrroms and cooked in the crock pot for 8 hours on low and added some yukon gold potatoes for the last 2 hours. I love that there is a ready made gravy as soon as it's done. It was delicious! It fell apart and was so tender. My three boys said it was the best pot roast I have ever made! Will definitely make again.

Banana Sour Cream Bread
IT MAKES 4 LOAVES!! Just had to say that since I didn't read that part in advance. haha I only have 2 loaf pans so now I cut the recipe in half (I tried buying four 7x3 but haven't found them yet) *** Anyway this is delicious!! Super moist!!! My nephew is extremely picky and the only thing he looks forward to eating at Christmas is this bread!! **** Dust your pans with cinnamon sugar sparingly unless you like a lot of sweetness. I also adjust the baking time due to my pan size and go with the tried and true toothpick test but it's usually 1 hour to 1 hr 15min depending.
