Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
This was so moist and delicious. I followed the recipe, except no walnuts due to allergy issues. I did add some extra chocolate chips to the top to make up for the lack of walnuts, and baked in a 9X13 pan, as I don't have a jellyroll pan. This will become a regular in my house.

This was a very good frosting. Great consistency. I used butter and butter flavored crisco.

David's Yellow Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
I followed the recipe exactly, and it was so good! I found no need to make any changes for a perfect cake. I think this will be my go-to cake recipe from now on.

Master Recipe for Rich and Creamy Cheesecake

Reviewed: May 29, 2009
This was my first time ever making cheesecake, and this was delicious! I made the basic recipe and drizzled chocolate and caramel sauce over it. I did make a bit more crust. The only thing is it does need to bake just a little longer. My husband requested this again for father's day, so I'll try to add an additional 10 minutes to the baking.

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: May 17, 2009
A very easy, very good cake. It isn't too sweet, which was great. I used a 9 inch round cake to make for my son's toy's "birthday party". I will definitely be making it again. I did use a bit extra milk and mixed everything a lot after each addition.

Easy Chocolate Bundt Cake Glaze

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
This was amazing! Part of my bundt cake stuck to the pan, and this covered up that I "glued" it back in, plus it tasted great and looked good.

Bread Machine Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
I've made these a few times. Since I don't keep dry milk powder in the house, I use half water and half milk. I also sometimes replace one cup with whole wheat flour. I've used these for hamburger buns, sandwiches and dinner rolls. So far, they've always come out great.

Flourless Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2011
I made this for my son's birthday cake as his birthday was the first night of Passover this year. Everyone at the seder loved it. It is more of a custard texture than cake. I used half bittersweet and half semi-sweet chocolate. And, as I didn't have unsalted butter, I used salted butter and omitted adding the salt to the recipe. I served it with strawberry sauce and it was a hit. I don't know how it would come out with margarine for a meat meal, however. I'll make this again for Passover and year round.

Chocolate Butter-Creme Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2009
I made this for a birthday cake. It was great! Everyone loved it. I did have to double the recipe for a layer cake, and it was a bit thick, so I added an extra tablespoon of milk.

Delicious Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
This turned out great. Following other reviewers, I used half cup applesauce and half cup oil, and I cut a bit back on the sugar. I added extra spices, including some pumpkin pie spice. I also added a little bit extra pumpkin (around an extra third cup) It was so moist and made my house smell so yummy.

Chicken Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
This will be a new "regular". I used frozen vegetables instead of canned, and a pre-made crust. I also boiled the chicken with bulion and thyme to give it some extra flavor. Even my 4 year old ate it up.

Bread Machine Calzone

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2008
I made this tonight. I only used the calzone dough and it reminded me of the calzones I used to eat in NY. It was great. I also made individual calzones, and I let the dough rest when it came out of the bread machine and then let it rise for about 15-20 minutes after the calzones were done. Since everyone wanted their own filling, I "glued" a piece of the filling (pepperoni, broccoli, etc.) to the outside so everyone would know what was inside each one.

Very good and easy. My only change was not to peel the apples before dicing them.

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
These really are easy sugar cookies. I make them with my son. However, I have found that if I use my hand mixer, the dough is too dry, I can only make these with my kitchenaid mixer. We roll them in sprinkles or colored sugar.

Bread Machine Challah II

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2008
The first time I used all purpose flour and the dough was sticky. After that I made sure to only use bread flour and the dough wasn't at all sticky. This is so delicious and easy to make every week.

Bread Machine Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
We don't drink beer, so we don't have any here, so as others have done, I replaced it with just under a cup of water. I added some garlic powder as well. I let the crust rise for a half hour instead of 15 minutes and it was so light and delicious. Definitely will be making this for pizza from now on.

Lisa's Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
This was ok, but definitely not the best cake mix "fixing" cake I've made. I replaced the oil with applesauce, as I didn't realize I was out of vegetable oil until I started to get everything together. Usually that doesn't make any difference in the outcome, but I wonder if that is why the cake was only so-so.

This was ok, but not great. The cake was kind of dry. I doubt I'll make it again.
