Easy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2014
Delicious and easy! I have to sneak in veggies to feed my elderly parent, so I blended carrots and sautéed them with onions. Instead of bread crumbs, I used oatmeal for a healthy alternative. Not healthy, but tasty Worcestershire sauce was added (no measuring just eyeballed it), as well as some garlic. This moist and versatile recipe was a winner in our home (teens - grandma)!

Popovers

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2012
This was a great popover recipe! They puffed up beautifully and were hollow inside, just like a popover. Note: If you don't have a popover pan, use your muffin pans. Butter the insides and the top of the pans well or use a muffin liner and brush butter in them prior to putting the batter in. Know your oven, adjust the time as needed, and watch them towards the end. You need a high heat to get them rising and airy, so don't skip that step! Yummy!

Smooth Sweet Tea

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2012
Amazing recipe! I make enough for 48 servings (to fill up a 3 gallon jar). Sweet, not bitter. Tastes just like my childhood sweet tea.

Albondigas

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2012
This soup was delicious! We froze extra meatballs for the next time we make this. It was easy and fast to make. My kids loved that the meatballs cooked in the soup (they were worried at first). Thank you Belen for an amazing recipe!!!

Tiramisu Layer Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
This cake was absolutely amazing in taste, texture, and appearance. With the mascarpone cheese, the cake was truly a tiramisu flavored cake. The flavors of the cake intensified after sitting in the fridge overnight, so I highly recommend making it a day before eating. I used Kahlua for the liqueur and increased the instant coffee powder to 4 tsp and the coffee to 1 cup. The cake still had a subtle coffee taste, but with the frosting and filling, it came together beautifully! Bravo for this recipe!!!

Angela's Awesome Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2011
My family devoured these enchiladas! I used what I had on hand and substituted as needed. *cream of mushroom instead of cream of chicken soup *sweet onions instead of green onions *lemon juice instead of lime juice I made a double batch so that I could freeze one tray for a quick dinner.

Teriyaki Sauce and Marinade

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2010
Incredible flavor! I am from Hawaii and this is teriyaki sauce at its finest. My family prefers this over any name brand teriyaki bottled sauce. Great for making stir fry!

Honey Garlic BBQ Sauce II

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2010
My family loved this BBQ sauce! It is better then any store bought sauce and very thick. I did not have Cajun seasoning, but it still turned out great. Don't be apprehensive to do this due to the large of amount of ingredients. It is fairly easy to do, even with 5 hungry kids in the house. :)

Slow Cooker Chicken Parisienne

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2007
This was very simple to make a my children & husband loved it! The kids asked me to make it again this week. I didn't even have canned mushrooms & it still was great. For those that stated it was too bland, just season the chicken more to your liking prior to cooking. Served the chicken with rice & green beans.

Raspberry and Cheese Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2006
Beautiful and moist! It was easy to make and my family enjoyed it at breakfast (yes, even the kids with a cup of cocoa). I didn't have buttermilk on hand, so I used 1 tbsp of fresh lemon juice plus enough milk to make 1 cup- let it stand for 5 minutes, then add the 1/2 cup buttermilk as instructed. Also, I used fresh eggs (instead of frozen egg product). 1/4 cup frozen egg product = 1 medium/large egg.
