Authentic South Indian Biryani

Turned out good. Not sure how authentic a biryani this is though. I used biryani masala powder (available at all indian stores)instead of the cloves, cardamom and cinnamon and used onion powder instead of onions. I also cooked it on the stove instead of baking. It was quite good and easy to make.

Brazilian Chicken with Coconut Milk

Awesome. I tweaked the recipe to make it more spicy/flavorful as suggested by other reviews. Also added celery to the onion/garlic/ginger mix and cilantro instead of parsley. Turned out excellent.

Pakistani Pot Roast Beef Fillets (Pasanday)

Easy to follow recipe. Beef was still tough after 1 hour on a low flame. I transfered the contents to a slowcooker and continued to cook on high until tender.

Sarah's Banana Bread Muffins

Turned out excellent. I had 3 black over ripe bananas and I was looking for something easy to do with them. I made a couple of changes- I used the same amount of brown sugar instead of white sugar. Also I added more walnuts because I love the crunch. I used the other reviwers suggestion of baking them at 325 for 25 minutes. They smelt great when baking and tasted wonderful when done. Thank you Sarah for the recipe.

Chicken Biryani, Hyderabadi Style

This recipe was excellent! Very different from the mughalai version of biryani. I made a few modifications though because I did not have all the ingredients. I used biryani masala (available at all indian grocery stores) instead of cloves. I also doubled the quantity of chili peppers bcoz I used the tiny red Thai chilis and we like it hot in our house:) I used boneless skinless chicken breasts and added 2 potatoes too (I love potatoes in biryani). The recipe is definitely a keeper.Thank you for submitting it.

Tandoori Chicken II

Good recipe but not quite tandoori chicken. I used yogurt in the marinade as suggested by other reviewers. I made the recipe with boneless tenders. They were good but I think I will try some of the other tandoori chicken recipes on the site to find something more authentic. Thanks for the recipe though!
