World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2013
However, I made this recipe the first time using salt as listed in the recipe. It was too salty. I now make it and omit all the salt. It's just fine this way. Secondly, you do not need to boil the lasagna noodles. You can put them in the lasagna pan uncooked. With the hot lasagna sauce and cooking the lasagna in the oven for 50 minutes, the lasagna noodles get cooked. No need for all the mess of boiling the lasagna noodles separately.

Famous Chicken Francaise

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
I thought it was very good. My boyfriend wants it rated "excellent". I pounded the chicken breasts, added more butter to fry the breasts used less chicken broth than called for and added some white wine. It was very, very good. We will be enjoying this recipe again.

Jennie's Heavenly Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2011
This was very good and easy to make. I made it exactly as written but used chicken pieces (that had skin on them) instead of the chicken breasts called for in the recipe.

Chicken and Mushroom Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
It was a good recipe but as written it lacked spice...I used low sodium broth and that may have been the problem but based on what other reviewers said, I added 1 Tbsp sour cream, parsley and 1 tsp Lawry's Seasoned salt and found it still was a little bland.

Bourbon Pecan Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2009
I oringially made this recipe in August, 2005 and made the following comments: "a receipe for company", the sauce is very rich. I used cognac instead of the called-for wiskey. And I used much less than the called for 3/4 cup of butter.

Looking through old recipes...I apparently first made this recipe in September, 2004 and consider it tastey, very good with beautiful presentation.

Strawberry Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2009
Per the hand-written note on this recipe, I have been making this strawberry bread since 2005. This recipe has made it into my 'best of the best' recipe hall of fame. Today I decided the bread doesn't rise enough so I separaated and beat the egg whites before I added them to the strawberry/oil/egg mixture. I think the breads may have risen a little higher due to this change. I also usually substitute 1/2 cup of whole wheat pastry flour to make it a little healthier and I add whatever nuts I have on hand. Today it was walnuts rather than the pecans the recipe called for.
