Homemade Chocolate Sandwich Cookies

I made these last week adding just a little strawberry preserves. The turned out great. I made them again today adding cherry pie filing. I took as much of the "juice" as I could get and mixed into the batter. I filled the cups and then added the actually cherries in the middle. I pushed the cherries down as much as possible and topped off with extra batter as needed. I followed the suggestion of preheating to 425 then turning it down to 400--loved the dome on the muffins.

Chili Bean Dip

This was amazing. I left out the cream cheese with chives and added a couple of tablespoons of taco seasoning. This will definitely become a regular on our list of dips. I don't think I'll buy the cheese dip stuff anymore. Thanks for sharing!

Honey Wheat Sandwich Rolls

These were great. I didn't have wheat flour or honey so I substituted regular bread flour and brown sugar. I can't what to try these with wheat and honey. Thanks for sharing.

Caramel Pretzel Nut Popcorn

Pumpkin Cheese Bread II

Ground Beef Stroganoff

This was ok. It tasted ok. My boys like Stroganoff but I had a hard time getting them to eat this recipe. It's a great starter recipe. I would use less mayo. Thanks for Sharing!

Easy Fruit Cobbler

This was great. I used 2 fresh apples and a can of apple pie filing sprinkled with with cinnamon and brown sugar. I think the amount of butter was a lot. Next time I will cut the amount of butter. Thanks for sharing!!

My mom makes this for all the family gatherings. It is very much requested. It's a some what healthy snack for the kids and perfect when you need something sweet. I like to use different flavors and it always turns out just as yummy.

Soft Giant Pretzels

YUMMY!!! I've been trying to find the perfect pretzel for a while, now, I've found it. I let my pretzel soak in the bath for the 10-15 seconds maybe even longer and had no problems. Thank you for sharing. *****************UPDATE****************** I've been making these preztels on a regular basis and every time they come out perfect. I took these to work for a treat and was asked to bring again and again.

Ground Beef Shepherd's Pie

I wanted something quick and easy for dinner and this was it. I made a few changes. I omitted the tomatoes and added cream of celery and used peas and corn. I didn't have any potatoes so I used instant mashed potatoes. We loved this dinner. I didn't have to force the boys to eat.Hubby said this would be a good recipe to use left overs for. This is a keeper. Thanks for sharing!!!!

Crispy Fried Chicken

Love the cooking technique, I'll use it on other type of fried foods. My boys usually don't eat fried chicken or fried anything for that matter, however, they gobbled it up quickly and I didn't have encourage them to eat. Hubby and I that the flavor was bland. I added extra paprika and garlic powder. Next time I will add way more extra. Thanks for sharing.

Big Germans

All I have to say is OMG!!!!! My boys loved this. They would give it 1 million stars if possible. I used maple sausage, eggs and cheese. It was amazing. I also made a second one with apple pie filling cinnamon and powdered sugar. Hubby and I loved watching it fall. This will definitely be put into the rotation. Thanks for sharing!!

Deep Fried Dill Pickles

These were awesome. I used the bread and butter pickles I had in the house and OMG so I had to run to the store to try it with dill (these are our favorite type)and these were awesome as well. The reason for the 4-stars is that the batter kept falling off. I tried mixing it everything together and it made the batter stay on better. I will definitely make these again. Thanks for sharing! **REVISION** I made these again and they turned out even better. This time, I took the pickles out of the juice and let them hang out in a bowl before going into the egg mixture. I left them soak in the egg mixture for about 10 secs then put in the flour mixture and covered them completely then placed them to the side on wax paper for a few minutes before frying. This made all the difference, the batter stayed on and they came out looking better.

Monkey Peanut Butter Bars

This was very easy to make. My choc chips didn't melt even after leaving them in the oven for 15 minutes which, stupid me, made my bars REALLY crisp. I will make again!!! Thanks for sharing!
