Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2008
I made this cookie last night and they are fantastic. I'm not a huge fan of almond extract but followed the directions and the almond is very faint and adds a nice mellow flavor. The only 2 changes I made was to swap out pomegranate, grape and apricot jams for the raspberry since I wanted a variety of flavors. And I also skipped the almond extract in the frosting, just made a plain powd. sugar frosting. This is going in my recipe box for a quick, easy cookie recipe!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2007
These cookies are awesome!!! I wanted something a little different than the regular cookies and this was it. I like soft, chewy cookies so I slightly underbaked mine and they came out great. Even my fiance couldn't stop eating them.

Morning Glory Muffins I

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2007
These muffins are great! I replaced the raisins with a combo of dried cherries, cranberries and blueberries...very good! I followed the suggestion to only add 1 cup sugar and they are plenty sweet. The only other adjustment I made was to add a smashed banana since I was a bit short on my apple butter. Perfect for breakfast on the go. This is a superb recipe! Thanks for sharing.

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 28, 2006
OK, I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I don't think the cookies turned out as wonderful as all the other reviews said; however, I did bring them to work and everyone loved them and couldn't eat just one. I would say this is just an 'ok' recipe.

Baby Food Cake III

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2005
This recipe is great! I usually use one vanilla custard and one pear babyfood jars. The custard keeps it really moist, similar to what yogurt would do. Not very sweet so I drizzled lightly with a powdered sugar icing. Last time I tossed in some chopped pecans for added texture. People at work rave about it!

Baptist Grasshopper Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2005
This pie wasn't anything great. I had trouble finding chocolate extract. I ended up buying Ghiradelli semi-sweet baking chocolate, melting it in a double boiler with a little butter and then blending it with the melted marshmallows and whipped cream. Flavor was good but the texture was too 'marshmallowy'. Fluffy but yet squishy like a marshmallow. My substitutions could have resulted in the lack luster result but I'd say skip this recipe.

Lemon Supreme Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2005
This is a wonderful recipe! I'm not a lemon lover but thought I'd stray from the usual chocolate desserts so I made it for the family Easter dinner and it was the most popular dessert on the table. I have requests to make it again for another dinner this week. Highly recommend this recipe.
