Stir Fried Sesame Vegetables with Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2015
This recipe was superb! The only thing I did differently was I used brown long grain rice instead of white. To make this a complete meal and for protein, I also added sauteed chicken breast cut up into bite sized pieces. Easy and quick preparation and the flavor was outstanding! This recipe will definitely be added to our dinner rotation!

Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: May 15, 2006
This was very good! I made this for Mother's Day brunch. I wasn't quite sure how cottage cheese would taste mixed with eggs and sausage but once served, it didn't last long. I cheated by using packaged hashbrowns ("Simply Potatoes" in the refrigerated isle). I also cooked the onion with the sausage since my family isn't really fond of raw onions. I think next time I'll use sharp chedder for extra taste. Otherwise, I wouldn't change a thing!

Carne Guisada III

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2006
This is just as good with chicken! I sauteed chicken strips in a large pan using this recipe. I taste as I cook and realized that the sauce was a bit salty so I added more water to my liking. The chicken was tender and very flavorful! I made it with Puerto Rican Steamed Rice from this site. Great meal!

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2006
The chicken was very flavorful and juicy! I had thicker cuts so it took longer to fry but it was worth the wait! No complaints from the kids. (That alone deserves five stars!) Thanks for the recipe!

Avocado Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2006
Light and refreshing! All ingredients are my favorite so I found this to be an excellent recipe! I didn't have cilantro on hand but I'll try that next time. I think I'll even try adding some chunks of whole milk mozzarella cheese. Yum!

Turkey and Quinoa Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2014
Wow! I used boxed quinoa flavored with garlic & olive oil as this was all I had on hand. Even with the quinoa being flavored, I still followed the recipe with the exception of reducing the salt. I also doubled this recipe for my family of six, and scaled back on the hot sauce to make it kid friendly. Was this ever tasty!!! You can't even tell it's made with turkey! It's moist, flavorful, and simple to prepare! I used a loaf pan without any problems. I just drained off the excess drippings halfway through cooking and again before serving. I tasted the glaze as written and knew it would be a bit too savory for my children's taste buds, so I added some ketchup to it and it was perfect! All four kids asked for seconds and one even helped herself to a THIRD serving! The leftovers were even better the next day! Thanks for an awesome recipe!!!

Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2008
Simple to make as it gets! Great taste and worth the time it takes to simmer! Made this for my hubby and a separate time for my mom when they had the flu. My kids slurped it up, veggies and all! Beats the stuff you buy in the can!

Campfire Banana Splits

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2008
These were great! We put these on the grill after dinner one night. The kids enjoyed stuffing them with mini marshmellows, chocolate chips, and crushed graham crackers for texture. I wasn't sure how they'd react since they're not banana lovers to begin with but they were a hit! They've been asking to make them again ever since!

Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2008
Five stars for the marinade! It was so flavorful and juicy!!!!! As far as the steak itself, I'd probably give it three stars because it was not as tender as I expected; especially since I marinated it for over 6 hours. Maybe it was just a poor choice in the flank that I selected? The flavor definitely made up for its toughness though. I will definitely make this again but with a more tender cut of meat.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: May 3, 2006
It should be known that this dish is more of a "stew" consistency, especially if veggies are added. Either way, it tastes GREAT, the meat is "fall apart tender" (as long as you have a TIGHT fitting lid) and the slow cooker is a practical way to have dinner ready right when you walk through the door! What more could you ask for?

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
EXCELLENT FLAVOR! Added minced garlic along with some mushrooms to mine and it was FANTASTIC! The sauce would also be great as a Bruschetta mix served cold with toasted french bread!!! Yum!! Will definitely be making this again and again!!!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2009
This was great and so versatile! I used a pork roast instead of pork ribs and I added a packet of dry onion soup mix & some garlic to the slow cooker. It was super moist and I almost didn't want to add the BBQ sauce because it was so flavorful without it! I'm glad I did though because it made for a tasty meal. Will definitely make this again!

It absolutely is the best ever!! I followed the recipe exactly except as others suggested, I used the whole 10 ounce box of spinach for more texture. It was PERFECT!!!

Bistec Encebollao

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
This is my favorite meal that my grandmother makes. I wasn't sure if this was the same recipe she uses because she doesn't use beef stock, she uses water instead. She also uses cube steak because it "soaks" up the marinade better. Aside from that, the smell and taste was the SAME! I will be making this again and again!!

Marinade for Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
Very good! My four year old gobbled it up and kept commenting on how good it was! I scaled the recipe down since I only had three chicken breasts to marinate. It was very flavorful and moist!

Buckeye Balls II

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
The ABSOLUTE best!!! I used one cup less of UNSIFTED confectioners sugar and I cheated by doubling the recipe, flattening out the dough with a rolling pin, refrigerating the flattened dough, pouring the melted chocolate on top, refrigerating again, then using a pizza cutter to cut individual servings. So much easier, less messy, and quicker than rolling individual balls and just as good!! Thanks for this recipe!!!

Banana Pudding IV

OMG!!! Yum, yum, yum!!! So good and so rich! The only thing I did differently was sprinkle crushed nilla wafers over the top instead of spreading a layer of cool whip on top. Everyone loved this pudding!!!

Mexican Pizza I

Very easy and a great idea, especially for little ones that are picky eaters. Each "pizza" can be dressed to individual liking. I skipped heating them in the skillet and put them straight in the oven toppings and all! Delicious!
