About this Cook
I am Honora Toothman and I live in Raleigh North Carolina. I am only 14 years old but I am the cook of the house. I have 6 other crazy siblings ranging from unborn to 16 years old. I love to cook. I have been using All Recipes for my whole life. I have been finding new ideas. I started cooking because my parents do have the time. My dad is a banker, and is always away at work. If he isn't he is on work calls. My mom is starting a new career of web design. She is always locked up in her room on the computer. So that leaves me. My older brother has a job so I am the oldest in the house. I have found out that my 9 year old sister is the pickest human being on the planet. I like trying new things so most of the time she does not eat. Only thing she eats is pasta and pizza.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite thing to cook is cakes. I love making it look all pretty with fondant and icing.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite family cooking tradition is Jim's Spaghetti. It is a meat sauce that my family loves.
My cooking triumphs
When I made my sisters birthday cake. It was the first one I ever made. I wanted to go all out so I made it a three tier. It was covered in pink flowers, and my little sister loved it.
My cooking tragedies
I was making cupcakes when everything turned into a disaster. I make a lot of cupcakes so I am pretty comfortable making them. I was in a hurry to get them done, so I put on the icing while the cupcake was still hot, and then it started melting. The kitchen was a mess, and I had no cupcakes to bring to the party. I felt like I was about to burst into tears. I pulled myself together, and managed to put together enough cupcakes for everyone.
