Chocolate Lovers' Favorite Cake

It took me less than 30 mins to prepare this cake. I love the texture - so soft and moist. However, I think there is too much batter for my bundt cake pan, I have to spoon some out and make a few cup cakes. As I do not have chocolate pudding in hand, I used chocolate fudge pudding. The taste is bitter-sweet which is exactly what my husband like. I dusted some powdered sugar on the cake and it looks beautiful.

Best Brownies

This is the 1st time I make brownies, it is so quick and turn out great. The only difficulty I have is the frosting does not spread easily and when it is completely cool, it cracks a little when I cut. Any tips?

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

I served this over pasta and my picky toddler finished his portion in his bowl! I took the suggestion from other members and used dijon mustard. I think it is tasty except my husband thinks it is a little too sweet. Thus, I will cut back honey and increase a little salt the next time. This dish is so easy to make, I'll definitely make it again.

Pork Roast with Thyme

Easy Coq Au Vin

This is easy and tasty. The only difficult part is to saute the chicken. It took me about 20 mins to saute 3 lbs of chicken drumsticks, other than that it is easy to make. The taste is very similiar to a Chinese Chicken & wine dish my mom used to make.

Gold Onion Soup

This should be a good soup recipe. I made 1/2 batch but accidentially put in 4 tablespoon of honey (as per full recipe). So it turned out too sweet, we can only eat some of it with bagels. I added the "too sweet" leftover soup the next day onto peeled and cubed potatoes, carrot and mushrooms, wrapped them in foil and baked it in oven for 1 hour. It turned out great. I will definitely try it again.

Maple Walnut Muffins

It is very easy to make. I think it is a little salty and I cannot really taste the Maple syrup. I will cut the salt by 1/4 teaspoon and add 1/4 cup more of Maple syrup in my next attempt.

Boiled Bagels

The bagels came out perfect in my 2nd attempt. I made mini bagels (24 bagels) instead of the full size bagels with raisin. I took the extra step of broiling them for 1 min on each size, then put them in boiling water for 1 min. and finally baked them for 15 mins. The finished bagels are all glossy and no wringle this time. My husband who usually will only eat 1 full size bagel, ate 5 mini bagels at one time.

Easy Valentine Sandwich Cookies

Very easy to make and the taste is great. But be sure to place cookie at least 1 inch away from each other, they really "grow" during baking.

Boiled Raisin Cake I

My co-worker baked it and brought to office. It tasted GREAT. I tried myself but used a smaller cake pan for thicker cake. It took a longer time to bake and turned out like rock and raisins at top are burnt and bitter. So be sure to follow the recipe and use correct size pan. I'll try again.

Fish Supreme

I spent most of the time slicing the potatoes. I love the finish taste of the dish, but will maybe fry or boil the potato slices first. I baked the dish for 30 mins and some of the potatoes are still not cooked.

Baked Seafood Au Gratin

VERY VERY DELICIOUS! It is also easier to make than I thought when I first read the recipe. I did not simmer the seafood as long as what indicated in the recipe. I could not find flounder in the store, so I used catfish. I have also used a little more than a dash of black pepper and hot sauce, it turned out GREAT. This recipe will be used whenever there is a VIP event.

Lover's Beef Burgundy Filet

This is easy and tastes good. The steak I used was too thin, it will be better if I use thicker cut(exactly like what is on the recipe). The topping are wonderful on baked potatoes.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

I love these cookies. I made half of the portion, they turned out great. They were very soft when hot (immediately out of the oven), but the texture is exactly what I like after they were completely cool. I added some roasted chopped almonds, they are so far the best homemade chocolate chip cookies I have tasted. I followed the recipe (amount of each ingredient) exactly, sweetness and everything are fine, so there should be nothing incorrect about the recipe.
