I am so lucky I live in Brooklyn. Atlantic Avenue is a haven for Middle Eastern Food. There I found Tahini. Fresh and amazingly made. Made this exactly. Added a tiny bit of cayenne pepper for added kick. This is amazing. And Healthy. Thank you for this simple but amazing recipe

Ooey-Gooey Cinnamon Buns

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2012
These buns were amazing. The Amish make these and I have always liked them. The most important thing is that you follow exactly the making the bread part of the recipe. Don't rush it. I probably added more pecans than it called for because I like a really nutty bun. I also used a powerful cinnamon and some cloves. The rest of the recipe was pretty much on target. In the end success is defined by how many will take seconds. Everyone did. We had a few left over and the host of the party kept them hidden. They tasted great and they looked beautiful. I also looked like an amazing cook. I will make them again.

Pecan Pie V

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2011
My granddaughter does not like corn syrup. I found this recipe and decided to give it a try. I did the recipe straight and only changed the cooking time to 350 for 15 min and 325 for the remainder of 55 min. My friends and my granddaughter loves this pie. Her 3 year old son is currently begging for a piece as I write this. It is also very easy to make. It smells great out of the oven. Definitely a winner

Easy French Dip Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
This is a simple recipe. I am from NYC. In NYC they only dip the roast beef in the hot beef juice. Then they dip the top part of the roll in the juice. John's Deli in Bensonhurst Brooklyn is famous for this. In Upstate they use a Kaiser roll and brush the top with water and sprinkle course salt and caraway seeds on top and bake for a few minutes. They do the exact same dipping. This is a Beef on Wick. To make it great you need to put fresh horseradish on the sandwich and skip the cheese. I mean really fresh. To make fresh horseradish, find the root in a fruit market, peel it with a knife, cut it into small pieces and then grind it up in a blender adding white vinegar. Keep the room well ventilated and have a glass container ready to put it into. Yummy!

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
I made this twice. I made my own crust because I don't like presenting anything in store bought stuff. I added my own spices that were a little heavier than the recipe called for. It is a wonderful pie idea and tasted great. My neighbors get all the left overs and they really enjoyed this pie.

Waldorf Salad II

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
I made this the first time for a party. How risky. Used all the ingrediants listed. Made sure the apples were freshly picked. For the raisins I used two kids of raisins, and several flavors of dried cranberries. Because I made this for a very large crowd I upped it by 4xs. With the Mayo I used enough that it just covered the ingredients. The result of all the mixed flavors was amazing. Different flavors were popping all over the place. This is a very easy recipe that even the most inexperienced cook can make. (I choose not to use any chicken.) Because of the fruit this tasted sweet. There are a lot of coolwhip recipes like this, but using the mayo was much better that coolwhip kinds of recipes. I will make this often.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
This bread is exceptional and easy to make. I followed the recipe pretty closely. I did use 2 larger pans and that required more time to cook. I upped the spices a little and added chopped walnuts. The bread was moist and delicious. I made a spread for the bread with one block of cream cheese, a couple scoops of pumpkin, confectioners sugar and chopped walnuts. I blended it until smooth. With this topping the bread was amazing and won the best dish at the party honor.

Ok, I am an over eater. I love cookies. I have tried several Chocolate Chip recipes and these are the best. They are crips on the outside and soft on the inside. I cannot stop eating them. Wow, Dora you are great!!! Just do the recipe straight on, no changes and buy some milk and enjoy.
