My husband raved and raved about this. He asked that I make this every holiday from then on. Thanks for the great recipe!

Slow-Cooked Pulled Pork Shoulder

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2010
Excellent! I served it for Fight Night and the guys went crazy over it! Just have some of your favorite bbq sauce on hand so you can add it to your sandwich.

Baked Potato Salad I

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2009
I was shocked at how good this was. The picture doesn't do it justice. I just substituted a few things because I didn't have the other ingredients on hand. I used 1lb hot italian sausage instead of bacon, 2c shredded cheddar cheese, and 1c sour cream that I had just made into ranch dip earlier (using a Hidden Valley Ranch packet) instead of mayo. My 2 and 3 year olds ate all their food and my husband had thirds! This is definately something I'll keep in my recipe box.

Awesome Honey Pecan Pork Chops

My family liked it but I found the meat flavorless. It was like having tofu with honey.

Big Al's K.C. Bar-B-Q Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2009
It was good enough to eat, but not good enough to make again. The sauce had way too much vinegar.

Spaghetti Carbonara II

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2009
It was good, but this was the first time I've made Carbonara. I don't like the texture added by the egg. I think it would taste a lot better if the egg were omitted. Also, be sure to add the pepper. I could tell something was missing after my first bite.

Skillet Herbed Chicken with Mustard

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
It was good enough to finish, but not good enough to make again. The herbs are overwhelming and the chicken took much longer than instructed. Also, you can't taste the mustard.

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
I don't like it. I think that smokies are too salty. However, if your making something for Fight Night or a football party, this is the way to go. Guys go nuts over these smokies. They're always asking me to make it.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
This was so good, that I didn't even get to have any. We were having a get together and I put a plate of this out on the table. After several compliments and groans of satisfaction, the plate was empty. My friend, whose wife's a chef, said he needed the recipe (something he never asked before). I'm definately doubling the recipe next time.

Two-Tater Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2008
The guys loved it. There were only three of us eating and we finished off the whole thing that night. I didn't give it five stars because it wasn't something I'd pay for at a restaurant but I'd make it again if I had the ingredients around.

Red Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2008
SO YUMMY!! I will never buy the canned enchilada sauce again. It makes dinner so easy. I buy the frozen chimichangas from Costco and make this recipe while they're in the oven. It makes a really quick delicious dinner in under thirty minutes.

Waffles I

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2008
I'll never need another waffle recipe. It's light and delicious. I used another review's advice and doubled the sugar and vanilla, which I'll continue to do. Another great thing is that it doesn't take much batter to make a waffle. I think it's because of the amount of baking powder. It makes the batter expand a lot in the waffle iron.

Amazing Southwest Cilantro Lime Mango Grilled Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2008
This was delicious. I don't think I've had a chicken sandwich this good at any restaurant I've ever been to. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five was because this recipe was terribly time consuming and it created a lot of dishes. I did use French bread like the recipe said, but I think it would have been better with sourdough. Either way, make sure you have large thick slices. I cut mine too thin and they fell apart when I was toasting the sandwiches. I also made it on a griddle instead of a grill. It didn't seem to effect the flavor at all. My husband is still praising me for making this. Finally, I think I should have cut up the mango and put it in the salsa instead of slicing it. It's really difficult to get several good slices off of a mango because of the size of the seed.

Everyone would have gone up for thirds if there was any left! Oh, I left out the onion because I didn't have any and it still turned out great.
