Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
Certainly the best marinade! We added just a dash of salt and the seasonings were perfect. Marinated overnight in the fridge then grilled on George Forman grill.

Seasoned Fan Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
One word: delicious! Husband made it today, except used cilantro in place of parsley. We loved it!!! Especially the crunchy cheese topping that fell off and cooked on the bottom of the pan.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Good, flavorful. I think it's too sweet though. Next time will use less sugar.

Sausage Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2010
Excellent taste! I added 2 medium potatoes and cooked them with the sausage/carrot mixture. I also had to add a little salt and pepper to our taste. I cooked it for 10 min once chicken broth and milk were added, just to make sure potatoes and carrots are tender. Husband loved it!

The Best Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
Loved it! Used extra lemon and it was perfect for my taste. Maybe next time will not use so much zest as was suggested by other reviewers. I loved the crust to filling ratio- perfect!

Angela's Awesome Enchiladas

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
WOW, incredibly delicious! It tastes better than any I had at Mexican restaurants. I used corn tortillas (like the flavor better) and they did tear after filling them, but when the dish was baked I just cut it into squares and served it that way. I also used shredded chicken that I cooked in a crock pot the day before, the chicken filling was moist and very tender. Will definitely make these again and again.

Spaghetti Squash I

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
Ehhh, it takes MUCH longer for the spaghetti squash to cook. Once it was done, it was ok, we actually enjoyed it with spaghetti sauce and a green salad. However, I won't be making it often. I just need to figure out why it took so long for the squash to bake...

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
Wow! What a nice, easy recipe for blueberry muffins! I made them tonight because I bought a big package of blueberries. I did half the topping recipe and it was the perfect amount to go on top! Next time I'll have to double the recipe as these muffins were gone before they got a chance to cool down!

Baked Salmon II

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
My husband's quote: "The best salmon I have EVER had". It was DELICIOUS!!! Even my picky 4 y.o. ate a whole serving! Needs a few minor changes: half the salt (salty) and pepper amount; decrease the oil (I don't know by how much, I just kind of estimated); and keep everything the same! Thanks so much for great recipe. Will make this one from now on.

Cranberry Sauce I

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2008
Delicious! I've made it 2 more times since Thanksgiving. I added orange zest the last time. This sauce has many different uses- not only a side for turkey! I mix it with hot water to make a delicious (and healthy) hot drink. Thanks for the recipe. WIll NEVER buy the canned cranberry sauce EVER in my life.

Simple Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
5+++. LOVED this recipe. I added a can of corn, 1 can of black beans and 1 red bell pepper for veggies and color. It was spicy but not too bad. It was even better the next day. I couldn't get enough of it. The only thing I will change next time is to add less spicy pepper since my family and a 4-year-old don't care for spicy food. I made it with "grandmother's buttermilk cornbread" and it was a great, delicious dinner!!!

Basic Corn Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
Didn't like it. The flavor was too bland and was missing the buttery flavor that good cornbread has. If you like cornbread then I recommend "grandmother's buttermilk cornbread" recipe which is on this website- it is to die for!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
Made last night; used the recipe as is, except I used healthy choice cream of chicken soup (that's what I buy). Delicious flavor. My husband and even a picky 4-year-old loved it. It's rich but if made occasionally, it's a great sunday dinner dish. It's pretty salty so if you don't like salty food, use only half of the seasoning packet. Will make it again for sure.

Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2008
I made these tonight with my 4-year-old. They were fast and easy to make and delicious! I actually substituted butter for shortening as I dislike shortening. We used cutouts and although it was a bit more difficult to use them (dough is very soft), the cookies turned out just fine. They were soft and chewy on the inside. I baked them for 10 min. My whole family was ecstatic! New favorite sugar cookie recipe!!!

Louisiana Sweet Potato Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2008
My whole family liked these sweet potato pancakes. I served them for dinner. I baked yams instead of boiling, it seemed to bring out their sweeter taste. I wonder if it called for too much flour in the recipe though. It seemed like I could definitely taste the flour. I will try to add less next time but will definitely make them again.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2008
I've looked for a good beef stroganoff for some time but this one just wasn't good. I guess I listened to other reviewers and put onion soup mix which made it terrible, especially the after taste. The cream cheese didn't dissolve and was floating around in small chunks. Golden mushroom soup is also not a good idea for this recipe, has weird flavor. I won't make it again. Maybe I should've just followed the original recipe but I was turned off completely by others' ideas. I guess I'm still looking for a good beef stroganoff recipe...

Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2008
Great recipe. I didn't put any raisins, just cranberries and added some chopped walnuts to the mixture (my husband can't stand nuts). It turned out excellent! All my friends loved it and my 3-year-old now asks me to make cookies all the time. Big hit. Thanks!
