About this Cook
I love to cook. When I was younger the main reason I wanted to leave the family home was so I could cook and eat my own food, the way I liked it! I work fairly long hours in an office so am also always looking for great recipes that are easy too.
My favorite things to cook
Indian, Thai, homemade sauces, dressings, muffins. I also love using fresh herbs in everything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas. I am not a great baker, but I do love making cookies and food gifts around Christmas time to share with friends and family.

Mexican Bean Salad
This is a real winner. Extremely flavourful. I've made this a few times for parties and people love it and consistently ask for the recipe. This is also a great healthy choice.

Favorite Old Fashioned Gingerbread
Not sure if I did something wrong here but it was WAY too sweet and sickly tasting. If I was to make again I would definitely cut the molasses down by half. It was also very dry. Maybe it's just not the recipe for me, as I can see so many other people liked it!

Banana Muffins II
I always make cranberry yogurt muffins, partly cause I love them and mainly cause I can never find any other good recipes. WELL - these muffins are excellent. I made mine with all whole wheat flour and replaced the sugar with slenda. I also kept parts of the banana quite chunky which made them really tasty. Thanks for the great recipe :)
