I love cooking, and eating what i make! I make as much from scratch as i can, from pies to fish fingers. I love fresh fish and am always looking for recipes to try to make fish more interesting.
My favorite things to cook
I love making bread, especially Jo's Rosemary Bread. I enjoy making savory meals, and love pie. Making meals with left overs is always a challenge for me, so am always looking for new ideas for this.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't really have any traditions. My daughter helps in the kitchen when we bake, and loves getting right in there. She also loves licking the spoon after we've made cakes!!
My cooking triumphs
I made Piccalilli for the first time and it came out amazing, just like we have here in England.
My cooking tragedies
I made a chocolate cake for one of the guys at work birthday. It happened to be on the hottest day of the year and so melted in the car on the way to work in the morning. My boss told me it looked like elephant poo :-( i was really upset, it took me ages to make!

Too Much Chocolate Cake
Followed step by step and it turned out awesome!! The only thing is that it needed about 15 minutes longer than the recipe stated. Omg though 600 calories per slice??!!!! I won't be eating dinner next time I have a slice of this!

Key Lime Pie VII
So simple that my 10 year old could make it!! In fact she did! This was delicious. I was expecting it not to be sweet enough because there's no sugar, but it was perfect. We made individual pies in little pots and this recipe made 9 individual desserts. I kept all ingredients and quantities the same

Connie's Zucchini "Crab" Cakes
This was really wet and could have done with being salted and drained. I couldn't dredge it in flour because it was so wet, so I just dropped the batter into the pan- with spray olive oil. They were ok. They didn't taste like crab but my daughter loved them
