About this Cook
I'm a career girl turned at-home mom and cooking is my new favorite pastime!
My favorite things to cook
I love learned to cook making traditional southern comfort foods like chicken and dumplings, but I love branching out and making spicy Mexican and exotic Asian dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love making breakfast from scratch for my family. There is nothing better than fresh bread or biscuits.
My cooking triumphs
Finally getting the confidence to throw some of my old recipes away and write my own new ones that I liked more!
My cooking tragedies
My first attempt and chicken and dumplings was ummm, not good.

Pasta Pomodoro
So simple and delicious, we make this all the time now. Sometimes we add leftover rotisserie chicken if we have it on hand but it doesn't need anything other than what is listed to be a great dinner.

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos
This was EXACTLY what I was looking for! So good, quick and easy. Everyone loved it. I poached the chicken in broth and shredded as some suggested and substituted lime pepper for black pepper because I had it on hand. GREAT recipe. Thank you!

Run For The Roses Pie III
From a girl who was born and raised in Louisville, KY, this a darn good rendition of a Derby favorite :) I've tried quite a few Derby Pie recipes and for how simple this is and how good it tastes, this is my new favorite! I don't do alcohol in my recipes, but I did add some pure vanilla as suggested. This was a HIT with family and friends and, most importantly, with me!
