Spinach Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2005
This was delicious! I have made the spinach dip using Knorr's dried veg soup mix and water chestnuts many a time, so I really enjoyed making one of my all-time favorite dips into a cheese ball. So good, I almost made myself ill eating so much of it!! Thank-you Sarah!

Cheddar Ranch Dip

Reviewed: May 4, 2005
What an super-duper AWESOME dip!! This is one of those dips you'll want to make for watching a sporting event on TV with friends! It makes a nice large portion for sharing, although it tastes SO good, I think I could practically eat it all myself. Great with chips and corn chips (Scoops, especially). Thanks for this one Dyanne!! Oh, I almost forgot, I did back off on the bacon bits as my experience in using the canned ones is that they can overpower the recipe when you use the whole can. I used approx. 4 T. of real bacon bits.

Easy Cheese Ball II

Reviewed: May 4, 2005
This truly is an easy cheese ball and quite tasty to boot! Easily makes two good-sized cheese balls.

Spicy Cheese Spread

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2005
I made this with a habanero/pepper jack cheddar cheese (shredded) instead of processed cheese food, and still didn't think it was "spicy." Will try it again and add in some hot pepper sauce or cayenne pepper. Had a great texture though and could even been rolled into a ball and coated with nuts for a cheese ball.

Dried Fruit Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2005
This was very tasty!! A nice change from the ordinary "salty" cheese balls. I actually used locally made honey jelly which turned out GREAT!! I also found dried mixed fruit bits by Sunmaid so that saved me the time from having to chop the dried mixed fruit. Very quick and easy to prepare! Thanks Debbye!

Apple Bobber's Cheese Spread

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2005
I work for a Cheese Farm and made this for my boss to try. He loved it and said it would make a great dessert spread! Instead of applesauce, I substitued 1/2c. locally made apple butter which actually has a cinnamon applesauce taste to it. All the other employees who tried it loved it too.

Cheddar Bacon Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2005
I used a 3 oz package of real bacon bits instead of the lb. of bacon and had to use quite a bit more mayo. It turned out too "bacony," but several who taste-tested it for me liked it. I will also experiment with it by adding in a block of cream cheese and rolling it into a cheese ball.

Holiday Pepper Cheese Dip

Reviewed: May 4, 2005
I had to really play around with this one to get it to taste good. First batch was too mild; wanted some kick to it. Then I thought it was too thick so I tried adding some milk (about 1/4 c.), but that was a HUGE mistake. Third time was the charm! I added 1/4 t. of cayenne pepper and it just got better with age!!

Hot Pepper Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2005
I, as did several other "taste testers" did not think this was hot at all. I even used a cheese called Fiery Fiesta (has habenero peppers in it!) and all we could taste was worcestershire sauce and I even backed off on it! I only used 1/2 t. of the worcestershire sauce. If I tried it again I think I'd eliminate the worcestershire sauce, use hot sauce instead and use 3c pepper jack cheese instead of cheddar and ex-sharp cheddar.

Pimento Cheese Spread II

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2005
I'd recommend decreasing the amount of nuts in it. After a few days, the pecans gave it a bitter taste and was too overpowering. I did not add any pepper to it.

Kati Rose's Cheese Ball

Reviewed: May 4, 2005
I did not care for this at all! The ham and black olives just made it taste gross (to me). I do agree with Katie Rose's suggestion to alter it to your desires, which I may try and do.
