About this Cook
I discovered cooking as a child and still love it. As an adult I have been lucky enough to take lessons at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris.
My favorite things to cook
French breads, pies, tarts, cakes, Southern comfort food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother has always hated to cook but my late father loved it. He was fearless in the kitchen and experimented a lot. My mouth still waters when I think of his breads, biscuits and gravy, cauliflower with cheese sauce, fudge, or banana ice cream.

Kentucky Pecan Pie
Excellent! I added 2 Tbsp of Maker's Mark bourbon to it - made it even more of Kentucky recipe :-). Thanks for a great, no-fail pecan pie!

Pesto, Goat Cheese, and Sun-dried Tomatoes Quiche
Great! I didn't have any pesto so I increased the amount of goat cheese (too much is NEVER enough), used four eggs, a bit more half-and-half, and added chopped artichokes and a bit of herbes de Provence. Thanks.

Double Chocolate Pie
Excellent! The texture of a cream pie with the taste of a fudge pie. I added a meringue for extra decadence. Thanks for the recipe.
