Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2005
These muffins were moist, sweet and had a great texture(thanks to the oatmeal I suppose). I don't know how some reviwers seemed to think they weren't sweet enough. I reduced the vegetable oil to 100ml(instead of 120),just to make them healtier, and they weren't dry at all. Thanks for sharing.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2005
These were great! We all loved them. And they aren't even dificult to make(even thought since I didn't have any chocolate chips I had to cut a chocolate bar to pieces myself). I didn't have cocoa powder or vanilla extract, so I used both nesquick and ovomaltine(both chocolate mixes with vanilla aroma to add to milk) and it worked well. 5 stars recipe - Thanks for sharing ^^

Apple Pie I

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2005
This was the first time I tried making apple pie, and a pie with top and bottom crust(they're not very common here in Portugal). I didn't know it could be this easy and turn out so good. As many users advised, I added more than 2 tablespoons of flour. However, since I had to use less apples than those called for(about 500 grams) because of the plate size I used, I suppose that if you are to use the original amount it would be better to add flour, butter, cinnamon and sugar to get the same great flavor I got - and it wasn't runny at all after baking. I also followed a user's advice and used the oil pie crust recipe you can find in this site. I second that advice, it's easy to make and matches really well with the filling.

Oatmeal Pie II

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2005
I couldn't find corn syrup anywhere(it's not common over here) so I used a cup of honey and some aditional sugar(dissolved in a bit of water) as substitutes. Since honey browns faster I cooked it for less than 30 minutes(otherwise the upper part would burn), and it turned out great. Very moisty inside, but I love it that way. Thanks for sharing.
