Berry Bread Pudding with Brown Sugar Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2007
I did not find this bread pudding to be flavorful. I can't figure out what it was lacking, but it just wasn't quite right for me.

Chocolate Toffee Crunch Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2007
I personally did not care for these because I found them to be very dry. My husband and son liked the flavor. I most likely won't make again.

Fresh Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2007
I made this without the water chestnuts and it turned out pretty good. The dressing was rather sweet. I might make again.

Jean's Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2007
I would recommend cooking the ginger longer with the chicken than 5 minutes. I could not even tast the ginger flavor once the chicken was added to the broth. In fact, it was rather bland and I had to add more spices to liven it up a little.

Cowboy Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2007
These potatoes were like a meal in themselves. All they needed were some bacon or hamburger added. Great taste.

Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2007
Yum! Very brownine like. Best of all they are made with ingredients I always have on hand. But next time I might add nuts and/or chocolate chipe.

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2007
This frosting was great! If only I could say that about the cake I put it on. Nonetheless, we ate the icing and left the cake. I will use this recipe again.

Sauerkraut Balls

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2007
For me these turned out more like sauerkraut cakes than balls. The taste was average, just not real strong and too doughy even though they were brown on the outside. These just didn't do it for me.

Best Ever Meatloaf with Brown Gravy

Reviewed: May 28, 2007
Made with gluten free bread crumbs because my husband has Celiac Disease and he said this was some of the best meatloaf he has EVER had. Very good tasting. Gravy was great too. Very simple to make.

No Bake Cookies II

Reviewed: May 28, 2007
These are the best. You can't go wrong. I always put the waxed paper on stackable cookie sheets and put them in the refrigerator so we can enjoy them sooner.

Lemon Cooler Cream Cake

Reviewed: May 28, 2007
This was super moist if not almost soggy. The lemon flavor was almost too much for this cake. I agree with another posted who recommended using a different flavor cake mix and/or jello. I most likely will not make again.

Sweet Corn Cakes

Reviewed: May 7, 2007
These were the worst corn cakes I have ever made. I personally found these to be too dry. The masa harina was too over-powering and I didn't think these were sweet enough even though there was 1/3 cup of sugar. There are definately better recipes out there. Sorry :(

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: May 4, 2007
These snickerdoodles turned out very thin and flat I think because of the shortening. I have better recipes for these so I doubt I would make again.

Microwave Fried Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2007
Although I prefer the "true" fried rice, this recipe saved me because the main chicken dish I had to go with it was a disaster. This rice tasted very good and flavorful. We all liked it and it was easy to make.

El Dorado Beef Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2007
I thought this dish was average. My husband thought this tasted similar to an enchilada because of the corn taste from the tortilla chips. I wonder if using enchilada sauce instead of tomato sauce would make this dish more interesting.

Smoked Salmon Sushi Roll

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2007
These turned out good considering I have never made sushi before. I did search the Internet for tips on rolling. If I was ever to make sushi again, this would be the recipe I would use.

Cowboy Cookies III

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2007
The taste was good on these. But as another reviewer mentioned, these came out too flat. I would not use this recipe again.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2007
I personally found these to be the "worst brownies" I have made. The texture of the brownie was "gloppy" and the texture of the icing was very thick and not very spreadable. I would not make again.

Apple Cole Slaw

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2007
This coleslaw was very tasty. I didn't have a green apple so I just used red and it still turned out great!
