Pear and Candied Pecan Salad

great idea! but for the pecans..this didn't work and I tried twice! So I solved the problem by throwing the pecans in my non-stick pan alone just on med heat and stirfry quick until you smell them THEN turn heat down! THEN add the granulated sugar. Stir constantly until sugar melts and hardens on the nuts - cool. Tip - only make enough for one day as they don't keep. I also added some red grapes and exchanged the cheese to goat cheese. Thanks for the base!

Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole

okay, way too much work for a casserole for me and too runny. I did like the flavour... so I've just made this again with many alterations. Instead of all the messy egg/milk wash and breading in all that oil, I just quickly stirfry the chicken plain in an oil sprayed pan,then add the cooked chicken cubes with the cubed ham & cubed cheese in the dish, pour the soup over & I used sour cream like another reviewer said, then topped with a bread crumb topping mix of crushed bread crumbs & a couple of crushed ritz (2 or 3 only) My family liked this but I really liked how easy it was - especially if you've got all the cubes done earlier! thanks for a good base!

Easy Layer Bar Cookies

I sampled something similar years ago, with a friend who said the secret on these was "not to over-do the choco chips"! So, I use only 6 oz of choco chips and a full cup of butterscotch chips - this amount is perfect! Replace the walnuts with those skin-on sliced almonds and don't pack your coconut. A thicker graham crust balances the sweetness perfectly. I like to add the melted butter to a bowl first to mix up and then spread on bottom of the pan. Cook on bottom rack - edges will look overdone but those are nice to trim off and sample! Kids love them frozen!
