About this Cook
I'm busy with home and family. And loving every minute of it.
My favorite things to cook
Anything that my husband and son love to eat. Squirrel and Dumplings is our favorite. Deer Steaks come in next. Cashew Chicken is the one of my best. Never have left overs.
My favorite family cooking traditions
This year my son has started to help me more in the kitchen. Monday night is our night for cookie baking. It is so much fun. I hope we keep this tradition going for a long time...
My cooking triumphs
My best cooking triumph is my cashew chicken for company. Everyone loves it and the sweet & sour sauce is so great. It's what gets asked for the most.
My cooking tragedies
The very first time I made biscuits. Bless my dad, I was just 12 or 13 years old. I thought it would be a nice surprise for my Dad. They looked just like flat cookies and were as hard as a rock. Ellie May has nothing on me and my flat bread biscuits. By the way, I haven't improved much in the bread catagory.
