Easy Crescent Rolls

Reviewed: May 13, 2010
I made these rolls for my family's dinner. They all liked them just fine. I just don't know that they're worth the extra effort of making the day before. I used my KitchenAid, and that made the dough easy to work with.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2013
I made this for a family gathering, along with Taco Soup and Wild Rice Soup. This one was the favorite. My children, who generally don't go for soup, requested this for leftovers. It really was excellent.

This came out moist and absolutely delicious. I didn't add anything, just followed the directions as-is. Wonderful!

Southwestern Spaghetti

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2011
This was surprisingly delicious. My mom had brought over a load of zucchini from her garden and I needed a quick, easy recipe. I don't know if it's fair to rate the recipe as I did since I changed some things, though. I omitted the ground beef (I had none on hand), I added a diced onion, and used spiral pasta instead of thin spaghetti. But it was so easy, less mess than a regular pasta dish, and my 4 and 6 year-olds liked it, too. I thought the seasoning was perfect.

Mom's Favorite Baked Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
I was looking for a mac and cheese recipe that didn't call for processed cheese. I liked how simple this recipe was. I just omitted the processed cheese and used a colby/jack combo (it's what I had on hand), and did without the onion. I double the recipe. My kids really liked it. I thought it was a terrific, easy recipe!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2010
Terrific! I used the recipe for Bill Echol's Taco Seasoning (listed in a rating here) in place of the packet of taco seasoning and it was great. I omitted the beer and made do without an onion. It was still great. I had some leftover taco shells and put them out on the table. My husband just spooned the chunkiest parts of the soup into the shell and ate it up! My daughters (ages 3 and 5) loved it, too.

Delilah's Frosted Cut-Out Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2010
I made these today for my daughters to frost and decorate. The recipes worked great. Baking them at 375 for 7 minutes, they came out perfectly soft but I'm still able to spread on the frosting. I didn't find a problem flavor-wise with the butter-flavored shortening like some others did. But then I ate it with the frosting. Maybe without the frosting I would have noticed and preferred a real butter taste. I will be using this recipe again.

Easy Lemon Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
What a fabulously simple recipe! The cookies are moist and tasty (they only lasted a couple of hours anyway). The powdered sugar make them pretty. I used this recipe (minus the lemon extract) with a triple chocolate cake mix and it was great!

Easy Tuna Patties

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2014
The flavor was surprisingly fantastic. I used 5 3-ounce cans of tuna, used 4 eggs instead of 3, and added a little chopped celery. Everything else was the same. My family enjoyed it, and I'll be making it again.

Cucumber Tomato Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2011
Oh my goodness. This was delish! I had garden cukes and tomatoes I wanted to use, but I didn't want a creamy sauce. I didn't know what to expect, but this was just wonderful! I followed the directions exactly. It wasn't too sweet or too tangy. Perfection. My husband and I ate the entire dish ourselves at dinnertime. Thank you for the recipe. This is a keeper!

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2010
I made this according to the recipe and it was fabulous. My husband and four children ate it happily--my 7 year-old devoured them! Just the right seasonings and the cayenne pepper gave it a little kick without overpowering it. I'll definitely make it again!

Rich N Creamy Potato Casserole

Reviewed: May 28, 2010
This was so-so. I used 8 potatoes instead of six, a total of 3 tablespoons butter, and all the other ingredients stayed as they were. It ended up dry. The biggest downfall in this recipe was peeling the boiled potatoes. What a pain!

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

This was good for a quick fix. In my opinion, not the best cooked pudding. But, hey, it's fast and easy.

Best Baked French Fries

This is the best french fry recipe I've ever made. And we've used our Fry Baby many times. With this recipe, the seasoning is perfect, and they turn out crispy on the outside. My family loves them.

Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust

I made this for a turkey pot pie I was making for dinner. It was the first crust I felt like I've made with success. I thought it turned out nicely. The hubby loved it, too.

Left-Over Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2012
I was wondering what I could make with my leftover turkey, and now I know a great recipe for not only that, but the gravy I usually end up throwing out. My entire family (including four children) loved it. I didn't have refrigerated crust, so made one with a recipe I got on AllRecipes and it turned out great. I doubled this and the crust recipe, and now I don't have to worry about dinner tomorrow night. Thank you!
