About this Cook
I spend most of my time in the kitchen. Cooking for 3 kids and a husband is quite a feat... everyone's tastes are very different. So to sit down at the table and have everyone happy...it's been a good day. I bake my own bread using a recipe from this site. I love the smell and taste of fresh bread.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook dessert. All kinds... and try new things too. Chocolate is one of my favorites... no suprise there... =)
My favorite family cooking traditions
For the last couple years, family has gotten together and done a christmas cookie baking day. LOVE it!
My cooking triumphs
Martha Stewart's 16 layer cake. It's a special request among family members. This cake is amazing!
My cooking tragedies
When I was first married, I used dried kidney beans in chilli. When he got home the beans were as hard as rocks so I had to pick them out. Talk about feeling stupid!

Baked French Fries II
These were so so good! I cut my peeled potatoes into strips and tossed in a bowl with olive oil, some dried onion and a package of Italian Dressing seasoning. I put down parchment paper on a jelly roll pan before putting fries on. Excellent! Will make again!

Baked Corn II
Very good. I used frozen corn we bagged this summer. Kids and hubby LOVED it! Very easy and simple to put together!

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie
Excellent! I cut the recipe in half to make a smaller pie. I drizzled chocolate syrup on the bottom of the crust before pouring the filling. Sprinkled the top with crushed Peanut Butter Cups. Put in freezer for about an hour... VERY VERY good! Thank you!
