Super Easy Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2011
AWESOME! used egg whites rather than butter and 425 degree oven, and the bread crumbs sprinkled on the cookie sheet so it didn't stick. made a delicious red hot/ranch dip for dipping. wow!

Fresh Tomato Salsa

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2011
I increased the servings to 27 because I had 20 tomatoes from my garden I needed to use up. Took me and my mom all day to prepare but it was so worth it! I didn't have serrano peppers but I did have an abundance of jalepeno pepers from my garden. We chopped up 25 but just added them by the spoonful until it was spicy enough for me. I also added 5 cloves of garlic per another review. I agree that it's more like pico de gallo but MAN IS IT GOOD! Wonderful recipe as is :)

Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2011
These were okay. They got eaten by the kids so I guess you can't go wrong. I just prefer more gummy brownies and these were pretty dry. Good flavor though. I didn't frost them so maybe that would have helped.

Italian Style Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
I have made these twice now and they are spectacular. I always had trouble with pork chops getting too dry but not with this recipe. Somehow they always come out perfect. Thanks!!!

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2010
HOLY GEEZ! I started the recipe without checking the nutrition information first :( Lots of calories in the ingredients but WHOA, the flavor is awesome. And extremely easy. Boo for diets. Yay for this chicken.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
I love this dip at every party I taste it but have never gotten the recipe. I looked it up on here just yesterday and made it exactly as directed. OMG!!! It was waaaay better than any I've ever tried. Not sure what the difference is in the others I've tasted, but I'll never look for another. This is fantastic!!! There is a down side, though. We barely had any to bring home after the football party we went to :(

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
The rosemary is a bad flavor for this stew. I think it would have been good if not for that. It's just a weird flavor and an even weirder smell. Not good.

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
soup was awesome before i added sour cream in place of half and half. DO NOT DO THAT!!! i ruined the soup with it. i only gave the recipe a bad rating so i could warn people of my own mistake. now it is a big pot of sour cream. that's all i can taste. wish i could have a do over. :( UPDATE: had my do-over. Still used sour cream in place of the half and half, but only half of it. Baked potatoes need sour cream right? so I still wanted the soup to have the sour cream flavor, but just cut the amount in half. DELISH! I think I'll add broccoli this time.

French Silk Chocolate Pie II

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
this tasted good, but it was a bit grainy so maybe i just didn't mix it long enough? also, no one could eat more than a sliver at a time because it was so rich. if i make it again, it will be for a party so it doesn't go to waste in my fridge like it did this time :(

Oven Ribs

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
found some ribs in the back of the freezer from who knows how long ago. was worried they'd be too freezer burnt to eat. your cooking method gets 500 stars. wow these were perfectly tender! as for the sauce, i didn't like the flavor of the ingredients so i dumped a bunch of whatever bbq sauce i had in the house in a saucepan with the other ingredients and cooked it down a bit before pouring it over the ribs. then continued to cook it down while the ribs were baking. sauce ended up delicious as did the ribs! thank you!!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
wow! i didn't have white wine so i used marsala. i used a meat thermometer that sticks in the meat while it's cooking so they were PERFECT! my husband was impressed and the kids liked them, too.

Oven-Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
delicious. i didn't have enough time to rely solely on the oven. baked 40 minutes. nuked them 10 minutes, stirring every 2 or 3. they were a little spicy for my kids with all the paprika, and they needed more salt. honestly, i think they tasted like curly fries from arby's! and i love those!

Super Scrambled Eggs Number One

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2008
i'm only giving it a 4 because i altered it. it was still good, but probably would have been better if i had just followed the recipe. i used onion powder and i didn't have bacon. my kids aren't fans of cheesy eggs so i left theirs alone and just cheesed mine. i didn't like the texture of the eggs with the shredded cheese. i will use american singles next time. i loved it, but my kids were suspicious of the onion flavor.

Tater Tot Casserole II

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2008
OMG, this is great! once it was all cooked and on my plate, i just mixed it all around to blend the flavors together. it was awesome. we added frozen peas and just 2 cans of cream of chicken. no milk. covered the meat with cheese, then tater tots then covered that with cheese. when i was eating it and loving it, i just thought, "you know what this needs?!?!? HOT SAUCE!!!!" i was right. it was even more awesome. thanks for the quick, easy, delicious recipe.

Baked Potato Salad I

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
oh yes! i followed the suggestions from others about just using sour cream instead of the mayo. it was missing something, so i added a couple tablespoons of miracle whip. PERFECT! my husband loved it, i loved it, even my picky 13 year old daughter was impressed! just delish. oh, i didn't bother boiling the potatoes first. i peeled them and microwaved them 5 minutes, flip and 5 more minutes. then cut them up and mixed them in with pre-made real bacon pieces from a bag. made prep time super short. also, cut up 3 or 4 chives from my herb garden. great addition! thanks for the recipe!

Best Burger Ever

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2008
THE FIRST TIME I MADE THESE: I left out the onion soup mix and egg and they were AWESOME! I'm a huge fan of flat, flat burgers. hate, hate meatball burgers. well, these were super flat and very tasty. my 3 kids ate them and never said a word about the hot sauce. it wasn't spicy like hot sauce, it just made for a very tasty burger. also very moist. i will make these often. will probably add some extra garlic salt since we are very fond of garlic. we even garlic salt our french fries. yummy. thanks. THE SECOND TIME I MADE THESE: i used the onion soup mix and egg. they were still moist and flat, but they tasted waaaay too much like meatloaf. no one liked them.

Bev's Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
i wish my kids liked this as much as i do! i've always wanted a simple and quick mac & cheese like they serve at our fish fry's. this is IT! i've made this for a quick filler when family drops by and many of them have asked for the recipe. you can experiment with hot sauce or cayenne pepper or even chili powder. or it's just great by itself. great recipe. thanks.
