Secret Sauce Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2012
Loved this marinade! Hubs grilled chicken to perfection, it was so moist and flavorful. I halved the recipe for three b/s chix breast halves. Then I prepared as written, with the exception of using some A1 sauce and a smear of anchovy paste in place of the worcestershire sauce (out!). This is a definite do-over, thanks for sharing your recipe with AR.

Easy Chicken Gyro

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2012
For the Recipe Group: These were so easy and delicious! I prepared as written, but had hubs grill the chicken since it was a gorgeous night. Loved the sauce, heaped it on with lots of fresh veggies. This is a great weeknight dinner. I'll be making these again. Sincere thanks for sharing your recipe with AR.

Lawn Mower Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2012
This salad is the perfect mix of flavors and texures, so easy and delicious. Hubby had seconds...and thirds!. He raved about this, and that's a first for a side dish. Absolutely love this sweeter dressing, combined with the saltiness of the cashews and sunflower seeds, yum. Prepared this exactly as written. What a great pot luck dish, double or triple the recipe 'cause they will devour this! Thanks so much for sharing, Molly.

Keon's Slow Cooker Curry Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2012
I loved this easy prep slow cooker meal! Comes together in about 15 minutes. I skipped the onion saute, and just added to the crock sliced raw. I added diced sweet potato and shredded carrot to the mix, and used low sodium soups and low fat coconut milk. For the curry powders I used two tablespoons sweet curry, and one tablespoon hot. I skipped the cayene. Just let it go on low for about 8 hours. This was delicious served over basil spiked jasmine rice. A definite keeper and do-over for sure. Thanks for sharing your recipe with AR!

Melody's Corn Maque Choux

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2012
This is one delicious side dish. I used yellow and white corn, more creole seasoning, spicy salt in place of the salt and cayene. Oh, and about four rashers of thick cut pepper bacon (more YUM!). I also used about a cup or so of beef broth and let it simmer down and absorb all of that flavor. Highly recommended, thanks so much for sharing this. It's a do-over for sure.

Such a nice, refreshing appetizer! I followed the recipe as written and it was perfect. I served over toasted baguette brushed with olive oil and sprinkled with basil. That balsamic vinegar soaks into the toast, mmmm......just delicious. Perfect summer entertaining recipe. Thanks for sharing this!

Honey-Soy Pork Chops from the Bradshaw Family

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2012
My pork was tasty and moist after grilling in this marinade, but I found it didn't impart much added flavor. I made the recipe exactly as written for three boneless pork tenderloin chops. They were pretty thick, maybe too dense to soak up much marinade? I did marinate for a good 10 hours, rotating the bag frequently. Thanks for sharing your recipe with AR, I enjoyed trying it.

Classic Cuban-Style Picadillo

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2012
What a yummy dish! I had about 3/4 lb left over turkey meat taco seasoned to use up, this was the perfect reincarnation for it. I used a red pepper, and after the saute added the turkey. I didn't have any tomato sauce, so I added about 1 1/2 cup Goya caldo de tomate con pollo broth, the other ingredients, and let it simmer down and thicken. I also used golden raisins. Very nice, simple recipe. I enjoyed this very much, gracias, danda22151.

Dorothy Lynch® Style Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2012
Absolutely loved this creamy, tomatoey, sweet dressing. I followed the recipe as written, but prepared in the blender, drizzling in the oil a little at a time. No need for cornstarch. I served this over taco salad as suggested, delish! This is a keeper, for sure.

Mexican-Style Taco Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2012
Loved the spices and added salsa to the meat portion of this recipe! I did skip the beans added to the meat, just personal preference. I added a few more goodies to the salad, avocado, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, olives and tortilla chips. I dressed with Dorothy Lynch dressing from this site, delicious! Thanks for sharing your recipe.

Tangy Potato, Green Bean and Bacon Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2012
Absolutely delicious, and such a nice presentation. I made as written with just a few tweaks, I used a few scallions in place of the red onion and added some minced shallot to the dressing. I also added a couple of tablespoons of fresh tarragon to the mix to give this a French twist. Oo-la-la! Perfect summer entertaining recipe, thanks for sharing with us, Don!

Singapore Noodles

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2012
I enjoyed preparing this dish, but found it too rich and thick for my liking. It was difficult getting the cooked noodles incorporated into the dish. I did like the spiciness of it, and love the curry! If I made this again I would decrease the peanut butter to a tablespoon or so, and use a thicker, sturdier noodle & perhps some chicken broth for more liquid. Sincere thanks for sharing your recipe with AR.

Strawberry-Mango Mesclun Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2012
What a yummy salad with a beautiful presentation you have here! I made this for the 2012 Buckeye luncheon, and received many compliments. I used less onion, just sliced red onion paper thin, and made toasted sugared almonds. The dressing is excellent! A great pot luck salad, for sure. I'll make this many more times. Thanks for sharing with us.

Summertime Tomato Salad

Reviewed: May 27, 2012
Absolutely loved this tomato salad! What a great , simple summer side. I used 1/4 cup oil, and did double the mustard. This makes plenty of dressing, easily enough for six tomatoes. I used orange, yellow, and red tomatoes, so pretty. Thanks for sharing your recipe, Jay!

Shanghai Noodle Salad

Reviewed: May 27, 2012
Loved this tasty cold noodle salad, perfect for summer BBQ's. I used whole wheat spaghetti. I did double the sauce, and skipped the added salt. Unlike most noodle salads I make, I felt this tasted best freshly dressed, I served the next day too, and but could barely taste the dressing. Love all of the colorful veggies in this. Thanks for sharing a great recipe, tyansia.

Orzo Tomato Artichoke Salad

Reviewed: May 9, 2012
Loved this light and refreshing side! I prepared for the Recipe Group pick of the week. I prepared as a cold salad, and used Marzetti's Balsamic Vinaigrette in leu of the vinegar and olive oil (out of balsamic!). I also added a few shakes of galic and onion powders, sea salt and white pepper. A great summer side for BBQ, I'll do this many more times.

Seafood Enchiladas con Queso

Reviewed: May 6, 2012
Wow, this was one tasty and impressive dish! The cheese sauce is to die for! I made the recipe as published with plenty of salt and white pepper to taste, and did add some crab meat to the filling. I added about 10 minutes baking time on. Make sure you use a large baking dish for this, my 9 x 13 only held 8 enchiladas, so I ended up using two and having to eye the sauce. Oh, and make sure you butter or Pam the dish, mine stuck a bit. Overall, it's a lot of prep and a time consuming recipe, but the result is soooooo worth it! Thanks for sharing your recipe, bajathecat!
