Mushroom Chicken Piccata

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2014
Thanks for sharing your outstanding piccata recipe, Karen, we loved everything about this! The chicken was delicious, and the sauce had a perfect balance of lemon and wine. I used the ingredients as published, but did a slight tweak on the method. I used thin chicken cutlets, and after saute they were cooked through, so I removed them from the pan and sauteed the mushrooms and onion separately, then added the sauce and allowed to thicken for a few minutes. I added a couple of tablespoons of capers, too, and back in the chicken went for a final warm in the sauce. Easy enough for weeknights, but definitely a company worthy dish. I'll make this again.

Made these tasty burgers for the recipe group June, 2014. I enjoyed trying these burgers. Only adjustment I could see making in this recipe is to add some moisture..sauce, something to juicy up the mix. Enjoyed trying, thanks for your submission.

Chicken katsu curry recipe - All recipes UK

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2014
This was absolutely delicious! I was looking for a clone of curry katsu I had at King's Hawaiian Restaurant in Torrence, CA, and this fit the bill! I prepared the sauce as directed and used a seive to strain and make smooth. I did add a bit more honey to taste. Next time I make this I'll make the sauce in advance to cut the dinner prep time. I used this chicken cutlets and prepared the chicken as written using vegetable oil. Came out beautifully, golden and crisp. I allowed the chicken to sit for a few minutes, then sliced into strips and served the cutlet over white rice with sauce. The restaurant serves this dish with white rice and a scoop of macaroni salad and potato salad, serious carbs but so yummy!

Italian Drunken Noodles

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2014
This was a super easy and delicious meal! I used a pound of Bob Evans bulk zesty sauasage and a nice pinot grigio & a slug of sherry for really drunken noodles. Took a little liberty with the cooking method to make this a breeze, just sauteed the sausage in a non-stick pan without oil until about half browned, then added the sweet peppers and onions and finished browning/sauteeing together. I then added the seasonings and deglazed with the wine. Then in with the tomatoes and basil (I used about 1/2 a cup, love the stuff). I didn't boil this down, the broth is so good, and I added the noodles directly into the pot to coat, more like the stir-fry version of the asian recipe this imitates. Shaved parm on top. Definite do-over, so tasty. Thanks for shaing this recipe with AR, a hit!

Best Ever Kabob Marinade

Reviewed: May 25, 2014
Prepared for the Recipe Group May, 2014...I used less honey (about 1/3 cup, you might want to start low and add), and a tablespoon of garlic chili sauce for a little heat. I thought it definitely needed something acetic, I added two tablespoons of rice vinegar, and only one teaspoon oil. I used ths on chicken cutlets that hubs grilled to crispy perfection! Great marinade, a definite do over for sure. Want to try this on pork chops. Thanks fo sharing your recipe with us, Lindsay!

Thai Pork Fried Rice

Reviewed: May 21, 2014
This was very tasty. I had two grilled and smoky rubbed pork chops to use up, so I diced them and used for this, modifying the prep a bit. I also used tomato wedges VS cherries, as that's what I had on hand. Simple and good! Thanks for sharing your recipe with AR.

Thai Coconut Soup Using Ingredients You Actually Have!

Reviewed: May 17, 2014
This was a great base recipe, I really enjoyed trying this soup. I used left-over rotisserie chicken and did add a heaping tablespoon or so of oyster sauce, as I felt this needed some "meatiness"in the flavor, some umami to it. I added asian rice noodles as well. Tasty! Thanks for sharing your recipe with AR.

Grilled Chipotle Skirt Steak

I prepared this marinade for flank steak and it was delicious! Only regret is I marinated for about 8 hours, I would have liked to marinate overnight. Prepared as written with a good dry sherry, plenty of marinade. Thanks for "sherry-ing" your recipe Holland House.

Smoky Grilled Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 4, 2014
There is definitely love in this rub! A new favorite grilled pork chop recipe, for sure. Made the rub/paste exactly as written, perfect for four good sized center pork loin chops. Rubbed them in the morning, and just refrigerated until grilling about 12 hours later. This rub would be great on baby backs, too, can't wait to try that. Thanks to Molly for recommending this and thanks, CookinLovin, for sharing your recipe with AR!

Asian Marinated Asparagus

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2014
Robin, your recipe was absolutely wonderful and received rave reviews this Easter. I followed the recipe pretty closely with just a couple of exceptions, steamed asparagus instead of boiling and used honey in place of agave, and just a little more than the recipe called for. I marinated this overnight, turning the bag every so often. It was delicious. A great spring/summer side and I'll use this many more times. Thanks for sharing your recipe with AR.

Yum Yum Sauce

What a terrific condiment for meats, veggies, truly YUM YUM! I halved the recipe and just eye-balled the ingredients. I did add a bit more tomato paste based on the reviews. Had some simple syrup in the fridge, so I just used a drizzle for the water and sugar. A definite do-over! Served a dollop on asian burgers, great meal. Slow Cooker Carolina Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2014
Sherri, you have a winner here! This was so delicious, and couldn't have been easier. I used a 2.2 lb boneless pork loin roast, and halved the rub ingredients for it, perfect! I used the full sauce recipe, but was out of Liquid Smoke, so I just added a shake or two of chipotle powder for a little smokiness. After shredding the pork I just used the juices in the slow cooker to moisten. YUM! Served on pretzle rolls, which hold up so nicely to the moisture. I had some Bourbon Whiskey BBQ sauce, so that went on top with some spicy dill pickles. A great sammie, hubs raved, and left overs for the freezer. Sincere thanks for sharing your recipe, a do-over for sure!

Five Spice Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2014
This is a terrific marinade for chicken. I prepared exactly as written and used thin chicken cutlets, hubby grilled them to crispy perfection! If you haven't tried five spice before, it's reminiscent of jerk seasoning, some licorice in the background, so if you don't like those flavors, this one may not be for you. But for us, a keeper! Thanks for sharing with AR.
