Amazing Pecan Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2010
Let this cake sit overnight before serving. It is worth the wait. The night I made this cake and tasted it warm, I was so unhappy because the cinnamon mixture was too overpowering and gooey. After the cake sits and the sugar topping hardens...it tastes amazing! Oh, and I just sprayed my pan...no foil.

Olive Pecan Spread

Toasted pecans and that really brought out the flavor of the nuts. My husband really enjoyed this dip over the holidays.

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

The recipe was so wonderful. Omitted the jalapeno and it still had a kick to it. Added a can of Mexi-Corn. Will definitely make again!

Creamy Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2009
This recipe is great...my husband just loved it. I think the sour cream mixture needs a little zip, so next time I will add a little lemon juice or zest to give it some zip. I think this recipe would also taste great with fresh peaches.

Island Sea Turtles

If I had to make these over again I would make some minor adjustments. 4-5 nuts in a cluster are just right. Make sure all of your macadamia nuts are halved. Also, 244 degrees is just too hot - 240 would be just about perfect. At 244 the caramel becomes chewy and almost too hard to eat after it has cooled. Afterr you remove the mixture from the burner you have to work quickly. My caramel becane stiff and difficult to work with after a few minutes off the burner. Not sure I would make these again...

Make Ahead Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2006
I modified this recipe and the casserole turned out to be very tasty and flavorful. I followed previous suggestions and omitted the croutons and cream of mushroom soup. I used 6 slices of frozen garlic bread, 6 eggs and 1 Cup half-and-half. The garlic bread gave the casserole lots of flavor!

I was out of oatmeal, so I used 1 Cup of crushed Quaker Oatmeal Squares Cinnamon cereal. WOW...the topping was amazing!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2005
This is the chocolate chip cookie recipe I've been searching for over the course of many years...they turned out so well! I did doctor the recipe up a bit...instead of butter I used 2 Cups Butter Flavored Crisco + 12 TBSP H20 (this equals 2 Cups butter per instructions on pkg.) I also added 1 tsp. of salt and 1 tsp. butter flavoring. Don't second guess yourself...make these cookies! They turned out so well.
