Rick's Special Buttercream Frosting
I used 1/2 butter and 1/2 regular shortening, which was very good. I have also made this with all shortening and I really didn't care for it that way - too fake. This is a really good, easy, yummy recipe and it spreads and pipes very well. I have made a chocolate version by adding melted baking chocolate squares in with the cream (4 oz for a 1/2 scaled recipe). My brother-in-law said the chocolate icing was really good, and he has NEVER complimented me on my cooking. I usually make a half portion of this recipe - this seems to be enough for a regular sized layer cake with a bit of piping. I have also made the full quantity and froze the unused portion successfully. This is my choice recipe for homemade icing.

Homemade Shake and Bake Mixture
I used italian-seasoned bread crumbs, and this recipe turned out very well! I used the same proportions of herbs as suggested (give or take...) and it really did smell and taste like the store bought stuff. I will make this again. Not too spicy for my two young sons.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust
This turned out well for me. I will make this again, but will pre-bake the crust for a few minutes before adding the toppings - I prefer a less doughy texture. My 5 year old son loved making this with me.
