Curry Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2007
Very good recipe. Tried it based on the reviews. Like the others I added addition curry, giving it a hint more than it already had. Definitely will make this one again. Great marinade.

Hot German Potato Salad III

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2008
Very disappointed with this recipe. Had very high expectations. My sauce ended up looking like paste. Became unsalvageable other than adding some Italian dressing to make it edible.

Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2008
This personally is one of my favorite recipes. Make this dish for nearly every potluck I go to or office luncheons. However, I do make changes per suggestions in the reviews. I use less butter than suggested, I add more garlic. Always use feta that that has flavor, never use the plain feta. And I always tend to reduce the egg amount, only because my dish ends up overflowing. All in all, wonderful dish!

Valentino's Pizza Crust

Reviewed: May 29, 2010
This is one of the easier pizza crusts that I've made. Love that it is super easy to mix. The directions were straightforward. Used some of the suggestions in the other reviews such as extra flavorings on the crust. A smashing hit. Thank you!

Garlic Butter

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2011
Love this recipe! Ended up making it more like a sauce, and then put my rolls in the bowl. Basically, flavor was just what I was looking for. Only thing I'll do without next time is the paprika, mainly because of the color it made.

Balsamic Bruschetta

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2011
Absolutely love this recipe. Often use recipes from this site, depending solely on the reviews as to if I make it or not. Like many others mentioned, I didn't need to make any adjustments to the recipe. Only thing, I didn't have fresh basil so I used dried, still very, very good. I'm sure even more outstanding with fresh basil.

Oven Fresh Seasoned Potato Wedges

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2011
My favorite potato wedge seasoning recipe. Better than buying it as a mix in the store (find it tastes the same, if not better!).

Southern Apple Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2011
My husband absolutely loved it. Wasn't to sure about the apples in his tuna, but he said they added a nice crunch to the tuna salad. Thanks for the recipe!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2012
Wow. Had my doubts with this recipe, being as every cookie recipe I come across does not work. This one, I did exactly as the recipe said, and it came out awesome. Chewy in the middle, and crunchy on the outside. The only negative I have, which is why I dropped it a star, is that it tasted a touch too sweet. I would reduce the sugar a little next time. Otherwise, it is an almost five star recipe!!!

Middle Eastern Rice with Black Beans and Chickpeas

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2013
When it comes to flavor, this was spot on. I made some adjustments per other reviews I read, such as using 1 can of broth, using curry powder in place of the other two spices, and cooking the chicken with the rice. The only problem I had with the recipe was the rice. It took much longer than the said 20 minutes for it to even get soft. Instead, it sat on our burner for over an hour, and that is only after cranking up the heat. Not really sure what went wrong. Used the basamati rice, unless it was because it came straight from the freezer. If anyone knows, it would be helpful to know, because I'd really like to make this again---but not with the time involved. Still had to give it four stars, because other than the rice, it was really good! Btw, I used chicken instead of turkey.

Grandma's Fudge Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2013
This was good, however next time I'm going to use the suggestions of what lovetocook said they did. Reduce the sugar and the evaporated milk. It was tasty and delicious, in fact, I eat it now currently straight from the jar. :) But, it was a tad too sweet for me.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2013
To be a too much chocolate cake, it has to have a richness that only a true too much chocolate cake can have. This, I felt was missing the mark. Perhaps it was the cake mix I chose, but even so, I was very disappointed with it. I could sense the flavor of the sour cream, although couldn't distinctly taste it. Definitely needs frosting to up the ante of the cake. Will need to add the frosting to mine before finishing it. Goes well with a glass of milk.

Apple Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2013
I made this as described per the recipe, with only the suggested changes to the sugar and the addition of vanilla (which is why it's four stars instead of five). I didn't half the recipe, but did use one cup white sugar and one cup brown sugar. Used 2 tsp generously of vanilla. Baked it at 350 degrees in two loaf pans for an hour, which was perhaps a tad too long (my fault!). But overall, a very delicious homemade apple bread. Thank you for sharing!

Chicken Flautas

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2013
This was good and simple to make. I used this as a base, therefore the only reason I didn't use five stars. I compiled my flautas into suggestions of others. I used canned chicken due to time constraints, then added chili powder, green chilis, garlic powder. My only mistake was in originally frying the corn tortilla's, but once I got the hang of it there was a system in place. Now, I'm munching on my yummy chicken flautas. Thank you for sharing!

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2014
I reduced the amount of sugar. Based it upon other's remarks, and did it at only 1/4 sugar. Just right. And, this has to be the best bread I've ever made. Probably because it turned out for me! I followed the directions of a previous reviewer who told me how to do via the Kitchen Aid Mixer route (THANK YOU!).

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2014
I took the hint of others and omitted the honey.. The sauce was too sweet and bland. So I started dumping more garlic, onion powder, salt, basiil and pizza seasoning. I don't think I improved upon it.
