Ramen Noodle Frittata

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2007
I liked this, but didn't love it. I would make it again, mostly because of it's simplicity.

Baked Dijon Salmon

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2006
this receipe is only ok... It seemed fairly flavorless, like eating plain baked salmon. I'll stick with the pan seared salmon recipe on this site. sorry.

Creamed Chipped Beef On Toast

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2006
This is a very good, very quick recipe. It is very similar to the version my mother made when I was younger. My boyfriend was surprised by how quickly this was ready.

Frosted Pumpkin Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2006
Nice, lighter version of the traditional bar. Next time, I would add even more spices. and I might use a different cream cheese frosting recipe (but still use low fat cream cheese). Thanks for sharing. I will make these again

I followed the recipe exactly... which I normally never do. but these were great, just as written.

Asian Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2006
good marinade. I put up the tenderloin into four pieces and poked holes in with a fork so it woudld absorb better. Use tabasco instead of chile paste, and added fresh ginger.

Basic Fondue

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2006
We halved the recipe and used beer in place of the milk. Added a few extra cloves of garlic and tossed the cheese w/ the flour and then added it to the liquid ingredients. It was fantastic. I did remind me of the Melting Pot's cheddar fondue. I'm definately making it again. We served it w/ bread, green apple and cauliflower. I didn't rate it a 5 because with out substituting beer for the milk this would have been very bland.

These were good. My boyfriend and I both liked them. The horseradish went well with the other flavors.

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2006
good recipe. I had to kick up the spices a lot to make it spicy enough for my taste. But I'd definately make it again.

Slow Cooker Tipsy Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2006
My boyfriend really liked this, I thought it was ok. It has sort of a weird taste to it, but overall it was good. I'd make it again. overall - a good, easy slow cooker recipe.

Salmon Loaf

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2006
This recipes starts out not looking too great... canned salmon is a bit on the gross side. But the end product was wonderful. I added seasoned salt instead of regular (which I'll skip next time since it turned out a bit salty). also added a few more crackers (whole wheat brentons) and some minced onion. All in all, a very good recipe. I'd make it again.

Authentic French Meringues

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2005
nice basic recipe... but I agree, cut down on the sugar, these are a too sweet. Next time I'd cut the sugar in half!

Quick and Easy Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2005
I made this when I was packing to move across the state, so I was refusing to buy new groceries! This is a perfect recipe to make when you have a bare pantry. Given the ingredients, it was tasty. I don't think I added enough pepper. Next time I'd add garlic. just like most of the other reviewers said, DOUBLE THE SAUCE. I did, and I had the perfect amount of sauce.

Chocolate Caramel Nut Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2005
This was a very good cake. I modified by using regular chocolate cake. I also didn't add walnuts. But I would make this again, possibly making a snickers cake by using peanuts. The Caramel filling was VERY good, nice and buttery. Although it would be easier to use caramel topping, I feel like the people who did that missed out.

Guacamole

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2005
This is a great base recipe. I would have given it 5 stars, but I did so many modifications to it, that I feel that wouldn't be fair to people who just look at the ratings when deciding on a recipe. I skipped the lime, added some lemon juice instead. It tastes better (in my opinion) and it prevents browning. I upped the amount of minced garlic and added chopped jalepeno. For spiced I used pepper, garlic salt, cumin and cayenne.

Simple Hamburger Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2005
I cut down on the soup, sour cream and cream cheese and this recipe was still very creamy. The Betty Crocker recipe already includes those modifications, so i'll just stick to that one. But in general, I'd reccomend this dish. It is very filling.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2005
How can so many people like this?? The bottom line for me was that the flavor was downright weird. I think it was the wine, possibly substituting chicken broth would be better. But I'll be honest, I won't be trying it again.

Mexican Casserole

this recipe was ok, a little bland for my taste (even with good salsa). I would make this recipe again, but with modifications (i'm not really sure what!). But I do like the idea of this dish.

Peanut-Ginger Marinade

Reviewed: May 16, 2005
very good marinade. I let it sit for a lot longer than overnight (try two days) because I wasn't feeling well, and it still turned out very nicely. It was quite flavorful. I like things spicy so I upped the amount of red pepper.

Fruit Pizza II

This is just like the recipe I use... Fruit Pizza is SO much better with the glaze on it!! For fruit, it use kiwi, banana, strawberries, blueberries and mandarin oranges.
