Seafood Chowder

This is delicious. I took the recommendation to add white and clam juices. I found that I needed a lot more milk to accommodate how much seafood this recipe calls for. But that should be something you can just eyeball.

Bacon Cheddar Jalapeno Poppers

These were good, but the peppers weren't entirely cooked. And although we all like spicy food -- we were all running for the water (even though the seeds were removed).

Spinach Salad with Curry Vinaigrette

This salad is great. I've made this salad maybe 15 times. I usually add some apples, cherry tomatoes, and green onion, shredded mozz cheese, and chicken breast to make it a great standalone meal.

Quick Brown Rice and Mushroom Pilaf

This was a great recipe. I altered the way it was cooked because I didn't have any minute rice on hand. I used regular brown rice and a rice cooker. I added two lumps of chicken boullion to the water I normally would use to cook the rice. When it was nearly cooked through, I added the chopped onion to the rice cooker, and then a few minutes later I added the mushrooms (I skipped the celery because I didn't have any). The flavor of the rice is great with the mushrooms. I added the parsley and walnuts afterwards. Delicious. I'd make this again, it's healthy, and really improves the taste of boring plain brown rice.
